Reign
It's been a little over a week since we've been back. Luca has been busier than ever but that's understandable.
It's does make me a little sad. He's barely getting any sleep. Comes to bed around one and back up at four.
I sigh and focus back on my laptop. Trying to find Chase. I've been searching for the past three days and haven't found anything. I really hope he isn't somewhere dead.
"Mama." I look up and see my minions all in the doorway.
"What's wrong?" I shut the laptop.
"I'm hungry." Kai says rubbing his stomach.
I laugh. "Okay i'll get started on lunch." I pick up my babygirl and we all go to the kitchen.
After about twenty minutes, the boys are done eating.
Dina comes down and I smile at her but she barely acknowledges me. Clearing my throat, I try to make conversation,
"So he finally popped the question?" I ask Dina while feeding Logan.
"Mhmm. I see Luca did too." She says in a dry tone.
I sigh. She's been distant with me ever since I came back. "Dina...what did I do now?"
"Nothing, sweetie." She says not even looking my way.
I sigh once again and leave the room. I bring Logan in our bedroom and lay her down for her nap. Going downstairs, I look for my father to see what's up with Dina.
"Aubrei?" I stop and turn to the person.
"Oh, hi Zoe." I smile. "How are you and your baby?"
She instinctively runs a hand over her bump. "We're doing good." She nervously puts her hair behind her ear. "If you don't mind me asking, will the drug affect my baby? I know you didn't receive it but I was wondering if you knew anything about it."
"I don't think the drug will harm your baby. Especially since the dose you received was only about 40% accurate." She nods and lets out a breath she's been holding.
"Thank you." I nod. "For everything."
"It's no problem." I hug her. "So when are you due?"
"In about 4 months, and we're having a little girl." She smiles and looks at me. "We decided to name her after you. Reyna."
"What?" I feel my eyes sting. "No way."
She nods. "We're not the only ones."
"But why? I'm not someone you should name your child after. I'm not a good person."
"In my eyes you are. You saved me, you saved all of us." She smiles. "So I wanted to show my thank you."
I pout and hug her again. "I don't even know what to say right now. Thank you, i'm grateful." I lean down to her belly. "Hi, Reyna."
"Thank you." She corrects me. "I should get going tho, I have an appointment." She absentmindedly rubs her belly. "Safety precautions for the remaining OASIS in my system."
"Oh, well that's good." I nod.
She smiles. "Yeah, Kian will freak out if I miss it."
We briefly hug before saying our goodbyes and I turn back to Luca and Is room.
