Santiago
"Ever since you left Sicilia, you've became weak." My father says. "You let this woman come into your life and embarrass you by having another man's child." He laughs. "Then my grandson is even worse. Why isn't that bitch dead? Do I need to take matters into my own hands?"
"If you wanted to take matters in your own hands, you should've done it while I was asleep." I fold my arms. "Don't threaten me with that shit. I'm not going to let you control everything I do, not anymore."
"You know, I expected this from you. The minute you told me you couldn't kill the child. What's her name, Luna? No, Raven now. That little brat." He snickers. "You couldn't even sell the child, I had to, because you were weak and still are." He gets up. "I want everything fixed before I come back here in a few months. Riley and Raven need to be eliminated by the time I arrive here again. Don't make me have to do it myself." He says about to walk out the door.
"Father." I call. "When I tell Luca about the threats you've made here, what do you think is going to happen? He'll just let you kill the mother of his children and his sister?" I walk closer to him. "You have no idea the hell he will raise for them. He's not some kid. He's a grown ass man that'll do anything to protect his family. Don't make us break regulations of killing first bloods. At the end of the day, he is my son. And I will always side with him." I say in his face. "Now, leave."
He scoffs and walks out. A few seconds later Luca walks in.
"Okay....what did I do?" He looks at me. "Nonno, just gave me the dirtiest look i've ever seen."
"I tell you later. He's just pissed right now, he'll be fine. What's up?"
"Are you ready to talk to Roman?" He emphasizes the word talk. "I know what he did to you, just please talk to him first. Then maybe a few beatings." He says and I sigh.
To be honest I deserved getting shot. If I remember correctly I told him in the midst of an argument. That I sold his daughter and I was the cause of everything that happened.
Flashback
I look around at all the bodies, Roman and I have annihilated.
"They deserved this and so much more after what they did to my daughter." He says but I don't think it was meant to be said out loud.
"Your daughter?" I question.
He sighs. "Don't play dumb, Santiago. I know what Leila did. What you made her do." He turns to face me. "It was you wasn't it? The one who sold Luna to the cartel." It wasn't, it was my father. He came to Leila in private and offered her the deal exchange for her freedom. She took it without hesitation, from what I heard. But she had to have some, the girl is her daughter.
"Maybe it was." I speak and see Roman grip his pistol tighter.
"Yeah..." He drags looking down at his gun then back at me. "It was." Roman raises his gun and shoots me.
End of Flashback
I look at Roman tied to a chair and shake my head.
"You know your actions can't go unpunished. Even if I did sell your daughter. You shot a Don." I tell him.
"What happened to never being in the trafficking business?"
"You slept with my wife. Got her pregnant. What was I supposed to do?"
"We could've talked, we could've fought, like brothers would."
"My brother wouldn't sleep with my wife." I sigh. "He probably would but I would expect something like that from him, not from you. I trusted you more than I trusted myself, you were like a younger brother to me."
