2 a.m. thoughts

skinny jeans

there was complete silence between them besides the soft music playing from her headphones. they were lying next to each other,his fingers slowly skimming over hers. it was quiet until he broke the silence with a sigh and spoke quietly as if he was afraid his words could ruin the moment.

"you know that moment after you've just showered and you're putting on your skinny jeans and your legs are wet so, at first, you struggle to fit in it so you jump a bit and then wriggle your legs and you just...you struggle,you know?"

she giggled a bit and changed the song that was playing. "im seriously not even sure where you're going with this."

he paused for a moment and continued,"but you know how you struggle,right? like the fabric just sticks to your legs but then you finally get in but it's still uncomfortable so you walk it off and it feels amazing,right? like its the best feeling in the world."

"okay, im convinced that you have a skinny jeans fetish."

"hey thats not true..okay a little but..ugh" he let out a groan and sat up,pulling out the headphones from both of their ears. "my point is,being with you feels like that. it feels comfortable, even though we struggled a bit we made it through and you just...you feel like home." he said,looking right into her eyes as if he wanted her to know exactly what he meant.

she stared at him for a moment,still surprised at his response and then she felt the heat rising up to her cheeks. so she turned away. but she was too late, he saw it and from the corner of her eyes,she could see his lips itching up to a small smirk. so she spoke up.

"did you just compare me to skinny jeans?" her voice was soft,obviously still flustered by what he said.

"yeah,but black ones. those are cooler" he said,still smirking. "and definitely my favorite."

•i wanted to write a luke hemmings fanfic and this was one of the first conversations between the characters that i thought of and now i'm kind bummed that I cancelled that project•
