sometimes i look at you and i notice the little freckles on your skin, dancing like the stars on the dreamy night we met and i notice the glimmer in your eyes and i think to myself how lucky someone would be to have you in their life, only to realize that i do have you in my life and for once, i am that somebody. i realize that you're not just a mere part of my life, you own a whole chamber and you hold all the little devils that roam my mind in the palm of your hand and my most infinite moments within your memories and i look at you and you look back at me and give me a genuine smile; the smile that makes me realize why people call their soulmates their "best friend". its because even though you have a billions of thoughts running around your mind, you can never remove a certain thought about a certain person. you make me realize that soulmates don't have to be someone you want to wed. it can be someone who's company you genuinely enjoy and it can be your best friend. you made me realize that a soulmate doesn't have to be someone you're in love with but it can be someone who you trust.
and i hope you realize that you may have stars on your skin but you will always have my trust stitched onto you.
