Chapter Thirty

30: Boys Part 2

(3rd POV)

Finding Apo safe, and not hurt in the fire, Mile grabs him in a tight hug. Apo asks if he was worried about him, Mile said yes, and also he was worried about all their neighbors. Mile goes around hugging everyone, even the firefighters.

Then he hugged Paper and Khaotung.

Build tells them about the fire at the store, and how Mile and Khaotung raced out when they realized Pepper and Apo were there. They arrive home, and Barcode teases them about their behavior, but Mile just makes big innocent eyes at Apo and He wanders to his room and jumps in bed because he almost kissed Apo. Barcode comes to get him for dinner.

When they were in the dining area, they started talking about Bible's new girlfriend and Bible's new children's show cast.

They also talked about Jeff's first major solo concert.

Barcode and Mile have a new international movie to make, so next week they will go to New Zealand and the Philippines for their shooting. And Build is the host of the cooking show.

"Mile, do you have an issue with P'Na?" Boom asked.

"We don't have issues, our anti-fans just made us so I have nothing to do with her fight with her boyfriend Fiat, I only want Apo." Mile stopped speaking when he realized what he had just said.

"Okay, let's move on to the next topic," said Build and discussed the role of Neo and Luis.

"P'Barcode, I have no intention of talking to him. And I know I made a mistake too, that's why I'm paying for it with interest." Luis was about to speak, so he decided to remain silent.

The next day, Luis is going to sell his limited edition shoes to earn money and get her place. His father seems sad to see him go, sighing that he bought one of those luxury watches.

His mother is still angry with him and even his condo kicked him out because of his mother's order.

All his cards are frozen by his mother so he can't use them.

It's good that his father helped him but his mother found out about it so she threatened his father that they would get a divorce if his father helped him.

His mother said he needs to learn a lesson.

Now Luis meets up with a man at the park, who tries on all three rubber shoes at once and then declares that he wants all of them. While Luis calculates how much he owes, the man suddenly ran so he chased him and when he reached him, he even ruined his clothes because he pulled his clothes.

They went straight to the police station, good thing there were police officers who bought his things.

Luis ends up outside the condo of Sea that night, shivering in the cold but too proud to ask to stay another night. Sea finds him there and he pretends that he had no idea where she was because of his night blindness. He guesses that he has nowhere to go, so Sea invites Luis to spend the night. Luis agrees, but only because Sea is so worried about him.

In the meantime, Jimmy has a meeting with Director Kirst, and on the way, he runs into an old friend from school, Patricia. Jimmy goes all shy and says that she's still pretty, then heads into the cafe to find Director Kirst. Director Kirst announces that he's cast the female lead for their erotic movie, and gestures over toward Patricia. After their meeting, Patricia remembers that Jimmy always loved to write, so she's not surprised he's a writer. He replies that she was always very mature as a kid, and now she never minds.

A friend calls Luis to tell him about an opportunity to make some money, and Neo despairs that he's desperate enough to be considering it. In the meantime Jimmy is also distraught over the coincidence that his first love is the star of his erotic movie, wondering how he'll face her.

Meanwhile, in Sea's condo, Sea snaps at Luis for not caring how much he's suffering to raise the money for his mother, but Pawin just wants that money paid back. Luis refuses to say what he's doing to earn the cash, and Aj jokes that he'll call Luis "Father" if he does it. Luis snarls that instead, he wants Aj to crawl through his legs on his hands and knees when he pays back the money.

The next day Director Kirst, Jimmy, and Patricia hold auditions to select the male star of their film. Jimmy and Patricia can barely look at each other, but Director Kirst wants Patricia to help choose her costar. They cringe through an embarrassing succession of half-naked actors strutting their stuff, and Jimmy disqualifies them one by one, unable to stomach the thought of them getting intimate with his first love.

And then Luis walks in, wearing a ridiculous amount of makeup. He and Jimmy are startled to see each other, neither aware that the other was planning to work on an erotic film. They agree to keep this a secret between them.

But when auditions are over, Director Kirst and Patrica agree that they liked Luis the best. They steamroll Jimmy's objections and decide to cast Luis opposite Patrica.

That night they managed to go to the bar and Luis drank too much.

Luis wakes up the next morning with his face covered in hives. Aj plays innocently happy, saying that Luis won't be able to film the movie in his condition. He's a little too happy as he offers to explain to the director that Luis won't be able to be in the film.

Sea gets a look at Luis and accuses him of playing sick to get out of earning the money he owes. His taunts renew Luis's determination to make this movie and get that money, to Aj's dismay. Luis starts piling on makeup to cover the hives, screaming war cries the whole time.

He ends up wearing so much foundation that he looks like a clown, Jimmy keeps trying to convince him not to be in his movie, until finally, Luis asks why he wants him to quit so badly. Jimmy wails at the top of his lungs, "Because it's my first love!!"

At the library alone, First works himself into a snit over Auo, snapping that if he doesn't care about him after they kissed in front of everyone, then he doesn't care, either.

Meanwhile in the condo. Luis swaggers into the kitchen and tosses the entire amount they owe to his mother which Jimmy gave him from his advance payment, and triumphantly orders Aj to call him "Father" and get on his knees.

Aj does, reluctantly, then starts crawling through Luis's legs. Luis squeezes Aj with his legs a few good times for good measure. Everyone is happy to have the debt taken care of, even though Luis makes Aj continue calling him "Father,"

"You're happy but Nong'Neo is still mad at you, so where did you get the money to pay?" Luis lost his fun while Sea threw a pillow at Aj.

"The important thing is that Luis will be able to pay off the debt for the expenses of his fake wedding, right," said First, and Sea stared at him, silent.
