33: Build in the Variety Show.

(Build POV)

Before Easy Tiger starts, we still have a lot of preparation.

We met at a restaurant where the rest of the cast of the show was already there.

Our Producer tells us that we're going to Krabi Province is home to some of Thailand's most famous beach destinations and Railay tops the list as one of the most stunning. The island can be reached by boat from Krabi town and Ao Nang-and the trip on a long-tail traditional boat is just as magical as what you'll encounter when you reach the shores.

We are happy because Krabi Province is home to some of Thailand's most famous beach destinations. Up and I asked if we could take a bath in the sea when we were off or after we finished typing and our producer agreed.

P'Mick asked if our guest is close to the beach and our Producer answered yes.

Up asked what the guest would look like, and if we would wear uniforms, and the answer was yes.

We also have a mentor so that we can be true to cooking and what we need to prepare for the variety show that we will be together.

P'Nadech suggested that we survey marketing strategies for foreigners living in Bangkok on what they like in food.

"We couldn't have done it without you," I say, and Miss. Koi will compliment him, "P'Nedech being here is like getting a hundred men's power."

Our Producer suggests we serve Mango Sticky Rice. Mrs. Koi questions whether foreigners will like it.

"Thai food is good," said P'Mick.

"Can you use a knife?" Miss. Koi asks me, and I confidently answer with a yes.

Our Producer also explains that even a small guesthouse there serves four-course meals entrée, main course, and dessert. We should have them too. Up says P'Mick is great with bread and pastry. “Who eats bread for dessert!” he says. The crews suggest Tuang Muan Sot: Sweet Sesame Rolled Pancakes. “What about Tong Yod: Sweet Egg Yolk Drop?” I say. P'Nadexh thinks foreigners don't like Durian Sticky Rice.

"What if the guest wants wine?" Up asked, and we said P'Nadech will take care of it because he has a lot to do.

One week later we met again at a restaurant in Siam Kempinski Hotel, 991. It's the famous chief Sirichalerm Svastivadhana. We got together to develop the menu from Easy Tiger.

I show P'Mick my notes. Up remarks on my hair, and I fashion it differently every day. "But why are you talking to me with formality now?" P'Mick says. I ask whether I have ever talked casually to him. P'Mick replays a scene, “Nong'Build you! You should do it properly!” he denies ever saying anything of that kind but he changes his speech to casual. From now on, "you will have to help me a lot!" P'Mick says. Up comes, followed by Miss. Koi.

Chief Sirichalerm Svastivadhana welcomes us. The other mentor is Chief Ian Kittichai. Of their new arrangement, Chief Sirichalerm said "What are you going to do?” he asks P'Nadech. "I'll be responsible for the Hall!"

P'Mick and P'Nadech are funny when they argue.

Up and I study every detail because we are not professionals, I learned to cook because of P'Apo.

If we were in the real world, he would probably be here. P'Apo likes to cook Asian cuisine or European cuisine, P'Apo can cook it. Just because of a wish everything changed.

I don't complain anymore because I know that we will go back to the way it was before and the Underdog will also be formed.

Then Jeff has good news for us there will be a meteor shower in just a few months.

"Nong'Build," P'Mick called me.

"How deep you think, huh," said P'Mick.

"Just relax, we're here," said P'Mick.

We discuss the menu and we also need appetizers and desserts. The work on food should be distributed.

P'Nadech preached about bartending and we also did wine testing. The variety show started and the title of the variety show is Easy Tigers, where the hosts managed and ran a home-style Thai cuisine restaurant in a foreign country. We will manage and operate a traditional Thai house guesthouse where foreigners who live in Bangkok can stay overnight and include Thai food.

There were ten batches of guests in all. Three came towards the end of summer.

The veteran and junior actors, I will be working with are
Mrs. Koi Tarika Thidathit was the designated CEO, she was in charge of checking in and out the guests, taking their orders for meals, and explaining the dishes on the menu. She also helped in the kitchen once in a while.
she was more grandmotherly/motherly instead of acting like a boss to us. We call her Granny Koi, she doesn't want to be called Boss Koi.

Next is P'Nadech Kugimiya, he is the guesthouse's Vice President. He was always on top of things and he made sure things ran smoothly. His clear manner of speaking especially in English was very helpful in entertaining guests too. He was very logical in making decisions about how to divide the tasks and the procedures we need to follow. Our leader is P'Nadech, he is good at managing, he's very passionate about everything and he always works so well even under pressure.

P'Mick Tongraya is our main chef. And for someone who's not a chef by profession, he did everything so well. He calms and is more collected than he was despite all the chaos in the kitchen. He was always smiling and happy even early in the morning. And that happiness and positivity radiated even in the dishes he prepared. They all looked so delicious.

I am the sous chef of P'Mick and he said it was like a more chill version of P'Nadech but I was equally responsible in doing my job. I was also in charge of dessert. My work ethic is admirable. I made and ate Khao Tom Mud: Thai Sticky Rice Cake for three days straight before our filming because I wanted to perfect it for the guests.

They say that I also like a more serious version of P'Mick in the kitchen. I was all business whenever I cooked. They say they loved my strong command and presence in the kitchen. I was very resourceful too.

I was not only systematic and organized in the kitchen. I guess I just live that way. I even make my two seniors' beds when the latter forgets to do it after getting up.

I very caring colleague too. P'Nadech would make coffee for everyone, including the show's staff. And I would always make his special Pad woon sen for them.

The last is Up Poompat Iam-samang ang the work is to pick up guests from various places like temples, train stations, etc. He had to take them to their rooms. He had to set up the dining areas, serve the food, clean up the dishes, deliver stuff to the lounge, etc. In terms of the number of tasks, He probably had the most. And he was probably the most exhausted too because he had to run around and go up. He also did well in entertaining the guests. Despite his many tasks, he still found time to chit-chat with them.
