Chapter 268 - Reunion on the Battlefield

I have never been to war. In all of my life, war was something that I have never actually experienced before. Sure I have been in many battles ever since I joined Fairy Tail but it was the first time that I actually find myself in one war and I was on my opponent's side as a spy. The large Army that we had with us was walking throughout the empty lands in front of them and were moving forward aiming straight toward the direction of the South were Fairy was.

With Azir launching the first strike along with Wahl, I was concerned about Fairy Tail. Azir always then to get a little ahead of himself and from how he had conducted himself during the meeting Zeref had given me, it made me wonder if Mavis and the other could actually stop his advances. I had given them all the intel that I could find upon the others so that they could at least get a chance to fight back against the large army that Alvarez had and I don't think that anyone else would be fixed upon having that type.

But as I was walking with the rest of the army, Nyssa came to approach beside me drawing my attention toward the girl. The young woman was looking around at the country in front of us. She was wearing more winter appropriate clothing upon her body as she was looking at the endless snow in front of her.

"So this is your home country," she said.

"It is," I answered her, "Thought I have never actually traveled this far North before."

Nyssa glanced at my general direction for a few moments before looking forward again.

At that moment, however, before our conversation could continue on I came across a feeling of magic that caused me to glance upward toward where it was coming from. Since I was with the Army I didn't really sense much of their power but as I was focusing toward where I was sensing the magic to come from, I realized just what drew my attention toward that magic. They were members of Blue Pegasus from that direction and from what I could gather as well as Sabertooth.

"It would seems that we are about to have a welcome party," Irene spoke out a small smile growing upon her lips.

"So…are we going in?" Nyssa asked her.

Irene shook her head.

"No let the Army do the damage first," she said, "Then I will see if they are worth us even putting on the effort."

I let out a soft hum as strong magic power started to echo in the distance in front of us marking the start of the battle against Fiore. I could feel a lot of familiar magic in the distance, most noticeable since I was part of the Grand Magic Games the last time I could the same magic as before and I couldn't help the small smile that grew upon my lips when I felt them. It was a nostalgic feeling to be able to sense these people again given how much time had passed since the last time I actually felt them.

Many of the forces from Alvarez were being taken down as we stood there looking at the battle that was going on in front of us and I couldn't help but be impressed. I know that we have more soldiers but they were at least putting up a good fight during the long run as they were making slow progress toward us thought I have a feeling that they will run out of magic before they even managed to reach us.

"Hyne, Juliet," Irene spoke out addressing the two girls that I saw with her once before, "How about you join in and keep our men alive. I will need our men to be on top shape for when we reach Fairy Tail."

"Of course Lady Irene," Hynhe spoke out with a light bow of her head.

"Yep let's go," Juliet said waving her hands, charging forward, "I'm going to kick so much ass."
