As Leilani woke, she could hear muffled voices around her. She struggled to open her eyes to see the sun streaming in through the window of her mauri and an outline of a figure.

"Lei get up it," her sister said standing over her bed.

"No go away," Leia whined closing her eyes again.

"Leia get the fuck up, we have to take your boyfriend and his siblings to see the reef," Aonung said obviously annoyed, throwing something at the girl in the bed.

"He's not my boyfriend Skxawng," Lei groaned, throwing the item back at her brother.

Finally rolling out of bed, Leia made her way to the dining hall.

"Oh look, here comes grumpy," Leia heard Aonung announce to the group as she walked up.

"Did you have a good dream about your-" Aonung started

"Shut the hell up," Leia grumbled as she walked past slapping the back of his head.

She went to go get some fruit as a quick snack seeing that she was late. Feeling something brush against her back Leilani looked over her shoulder to see Neteyam join her in the line; he stood so that their shoulders overlapped, letting her rest against him slightly.

"Good morning Princess," He whispered, leaning down so his mouth was against her ear.

"Moring Teyam," the girl whispered back softly, turning to look into his eyes.

"How did you sleep?" He asked as they moved forward in the line.

"I slept well. How about you?" she replied.

"Pretty good. Tuk couldn't stop talking about you last night," he said back, as she grabbed two bowls handing one to Neteyam.

"Aww stop, that's too sweet," Leia said, glancing at where the little girl was sitting.

"I think my parents like you too. You should have seen how happy Tuk's stories about you made them," the boy told her with a big smile across his face.

"One set of parents down, one more to go," the girl said taking in an anxious breath, "I'm sorry, I haven't said anything abo-" she started to apologize, feeling guilty for trying to keep him a secret.

"No love don't apologize. You haven't even really spoken to your parents, I don't expect you to tell them about me. Especially since we haven't really talked about it." he said, moving her forward with a hand on her lower back, his thumb rubbing little circles into her skin.

"Ok," she said softly, searching his face for any hint that he didn't mean it.

Pulling her eyes away from his she looked at their table, "We should probably hurry."
