The Bunny Princess

Chapter 7

As Sonic and his friends wait for Vertera to wake up, she is experiencing some strange dreams. Suddenly, she opens her eyes and sees a black figure standing before her. "Huh?" she says, confused.

"Vertera, my child," says the black figure as it walks closer. "Who are you?" she says, scared. "Do not be afraid, my child. I'm not your enemy," says the black figure. "Huh?" says Vertera, as the black figure stops walking and puts a hand on her cheek. "Vertera, listen to me, my child. You can't return to your world. You don't belong to your world," says the black figure.

"What?! What do you mean I can't return to my world?!" says Vertera, shocked. "My child, you are a princess," says the black figure. "I'm what??" says Vertera, even more shocked. "Time will tell, my child," says the black figure as it fades away from the light. "Wait! What do you mean I'm a princess?! Wait... don't... go..." says Vertera as she falls unconscious and the world fades to black.

In Tails's workshop, everybody is waiting and praying for Vertera to wake up. She wakes up very weakly. "Ugh... where am I?" she asks. As she gets up, the pain is intense and she can't move. "Ow..." she says, painfully. "Vertera, you're awake!" says Tails. She turns around to see her friend Tails.

"Well, while you were running away, a robot attacked you, but Sonic, Knuckles, and Shadow stopped the robot and Shadow saved you," says Tails. "Oh..." says Vertera. "I can't wait to tell everyone that you're awake!" says Tails as he runs to his friends with the good news.

She is in bed, thinking about who this mysterious figure is. "Who was this mysterious figure? Why is she telling me that I can't go to my world? And why is she telling me that I'm a princess? Am I a princess?" she thinks. As she's thinking about the mysterious figure, everyone is running to Tails's bedroom to see their friend alive and well.

"Vertera! Thank goodness you're awake!" says Silver. "We were so worried about you, honey," says Rouge. "We thought you'd never wake up, but you're awake," says Blaze. "Mate! You're okay!" says Marnie. "Vertera! You're finally okay!" says Amy. "Glad you're awake now," says Shadow. "Thank goodness we saved you," says Knuckles. "Miss Vertera! You're okay!" says Cream. "Chao Chao Chao!" says Cheese. "We're glad you're feeling better, Vertera!" says Sonic.

"Oh, Vertera! This is Shadow the Hedgehog. He is the ultimate life form," says Amy. "And he's my ultimate boyfriend," says Rouge. "And he's Sonic's rival," says Tails. "Oh, and he's the one who saved you," says Silver.

"Oh, thank you very much for saving me, Shadow," says Vertera. "It's nothing, really," says Shadow. "Oh! There's something I need to tell you!" says Vertera. "Huh?" says everybody.
