Saturday a day of rest after partying all night on Friday with your family or friends is what would be happening if you weren't a new agent tasked with saving the great zapfish and finding callie currently Marie is teaching the basics to Maria while Y/n gives her tips every now and then after about a small ten to fifteen minute tutorial she's got all the basics down saying that this is gonna be easy Marie immediately gains an evil smirk and sends both Maria and Y/n into there first mission Y/n sighs while Maria looks shocked like she didn't expect this.
Y/n P.O.V
As I'm getting all my gear together for the mission I pull out one of my cigarettes grabbing my ace of spades lighter I light the cigarette and pull for a good second or two before exhaling I hear a gasp one from my left and another on my right lifting my head up I see Marie and Maria look shocked at what I'm doing before they start on why its bad I raise my hand signaling them I'll tell them in a little bit....
About ten minutes later I'm done sifting through all my stuff making sure I have everything I look up and the two seem to have a impatient look on their face so I decide to start this discussion "look before you bom-" and that's what I mean I'm just gonna wait until they stop complaining "do you know how bad those are fo-" not even listening anymore I tune them out until they decide to stop....
Honestly they just got done with their lecture which I didn't really listen too
"And thats why they're bad for you" they finish before they continue any more I speak up "before you continue anymore they're for a medical disorder I have they pretty much kick the disorder into low gear instead of high gear all the time" I finish they just look at me dumbfounded they look at each other and look confused before turning to me "well then we are sorry for bombarding you with our lecture" they replied "its fine I get it all the time anyway so I'm used to it at this point also how are you gonna get distracted by that we've spent like half an hour on this we have a mission to do remember" they look confused before the sudden realization hits them both they're sent into a panic frenzy for about five minutes before they've finally collected themselves....
"This is the most dysfunctional splatoon I've ever seen and this is the only one that I've seen" I mutter under my breath
Third P.O.V
After the weirdness that just happened Maria and Y/n are finally sent on their mission Maria lands first and starts inking the enemy territory Y/n soon lands after her but he lags behind letting her do most of it only helping when he's needed....
They're nearing the end of the first mission when they see the small zapfish but as soon as they get close the platform moves backwards and a bigger one rises Y/n looks up to read Octo canyon arena if his theory is correct then this is gonna happen every time they get close to a zapfish and they'll have to fight a mini boss or special enemy maybe even a horde of enemies before they walk in though they prepare by getting there weapons out and refilling their ink.
Y/n P.O.V
If my theory is correct dj Octavio is back he's even stronger than last time though it won't be a problem for me but I'm more worried about Maria how is she an inkling that had a normal life until now going to beat someone with a hundred years worth of battle experience not to mention the fact that he's most likely squidnapped Callie and the great zapfish....
I'm getting distracted though thats all gonna be a future problem my current problem is what could be in this arena before we enter, I quickly make a strategy soon enough I've got it figured out and so I voice my thoughts "alright I need you to listen closely as soon as you super jump in there get as much ink covering the place as possible that way you have more of a move zone to dodge attacks while I figure out the weakness sound good" "um I guess wait I've gotta fight it myself" she questions "yes for now eventually ill give you the weak point and then boom easy victory" I explain "I'm so no-" before she finishes I push her into the super jump platform and away she goes, now all I hear is distance screams of anguish and suffering.
