Part 18 - date!

Y/n P.O.V

As I lay there staring up at the ceiling, I couldn't help but become lost in the gentle, hypnotic swaying of the ceiling fan above. Hours passed by as I continued to gaze, my mind drifting slowly away from reality. Suddenly, a knock at the door brought me back to the present. I quickly rose to my feet, mustering a smile in anticipation of who might be on the other side. It was Marie, still groggy and dressed in her nightgown. "I heard some screaming, everything alright in here?" she asked sleepily. "Yeah, everything's good. Just stubbed my toe," I replied, trying to sound nonchalant hoping she'd ignore my earlier screaming. "Say, why don't you go ahead and change, and we'll grab some breakfast before our date?" I offered, trying to keep things light and upbeat. With a yawn and a nod, Marie wandered back to her room to freshen up, leaving me alone to put breakfast together in the kitchen.

Marie P.O.V

Excitement bubbled within me as the scent of freshly cooked pancakes wafted towards my nostrils, tugging me like a magnet towards the table. Once I arrived, I couldn't help but sit down eagerly, my heart racing with anticipation. Suddenly, a chuckle drew my attention and I turned to see that Y/n had arrived bearing two plates of fluffy pancakes smothered in warm, golden syrup. As he placed my plate down with a flourish, I couldn't wait to dig in and savor the delicious meal spread out before me.

ACHIEVEMENT UNLOCKED

Walking towards the door, I eagerly swing it open, gesturing for Marie to go ahead of me. Together, we step out onto the bustling streets of Inkopolis, taking in the sights and sounds of the city. Worried I might lose her in the crowd, I reach out and take her hand firmly in mine. As we weave our way through the bustling city, admiring the colorful graffiti that adorns the walls and buildings around us, Marie blushes ever so slightly. Though she doesn't say anything, I can tell she's enjoying herself just as much as I am, her excitement and happiness palpable even from the inside.

Finally arriving at the mall, Y/n takes a chivalrous step back and gestures for Marie to go first. She approaches the sliding doors with grace and they open at a modest pace. Turning around, she flashes him a warm smile while waving him to join her. Without hesitation, she turns on her heels and quickly runs off towards the clothes shop. Y/n can't help but smile at her enthusiasm and runs off after her with a newfound energy. The thrill of the chase is invigorating and he can't wait to see what the rest of the day has in store.
