Newt Imagine

Your P.O.V.
"I'm so sorry Sky. But I don't think Newt is coming back. You know how the Maze is." Jeff said giving me a side hug.
Newt ran into the Maze to help Minho and Alby mainly because the doors were closing and he was very selfless.

I was basically bawling my eyes out, now that everyone in the Glade knew that I had a crush on Newt. So now everyone felt bad for me.

I've seen what the Maze did to people. I've been banished once and I came back, but I wasn't really the same after being traumatized.

"I...I think I just need time t...to think." I said to Jeff, right before you left for the deadheads.

I ran as fast as I could to the back so no one could find you. It was dark, cold, damp and who knows what could be in here. The forest pretty much takes up most of the Glade, and its huge.

I sat there crying for what seemed like an eternity, I fell asleep on the ground and waited for something miraculous to happen.

Maybe Newt would come back, maybe we would finally leave the Maze.

----------------Newt's P.O.V.--------------
"NEWT!!! RUN!!!!" Minho yelled at me.
There was a huge Griever at my tail and with my limp it was a bit hard to run at the same pace as Minho.

"I'm trying Minho but my limp! You've forgotten about that didn't you?" I asked him.

"This is no time for questions, Newt! Split up!" He yelled going left and me going right.

Luckily he followed Minho because I couldn't run anymore. I stopped to think. I couldn't stop thinking about Sky. I love her so much. I was gonna tell her but now I'm stuck here and it's just messing everything up.

Just as I was about to start running again, I crashed into Minho.

"Watch it!" He yelled but soon realized it was me.

"We gotta get out of here." I say.
"Thanks for pointing out the obvious, Newt." Minho says rolling his eyes.

I spot a patch of ivy and go hide under it meanwhile Minho does the same.
We wait all night and when the sun finally comes up we go and get Alby who was strung up by ivy the previous night.
We were a corner from the doors when they opened. Everyone was waiting, probably scared. But I didn't see Sky.

"Oh my god! Are you guys ok?" Teresa asks us.
I nod slowly, trying to catch my breath.

I bring Alby over to Jeff so that he can examine him.

"Jeff, where's Sky?" I ask him casually trying not to make it obvious that I like her.

"I think she's in the deadheads, me and some other guy went to look but we couldn't find her. She's still in there but go see for yourself if you want." Jeff says spraying water on Alby's chest.

"Thanks Jeff." I say jogging out of the Homestead.

I jog to the deadheads and see nothing but trees and darkness. Rhen I remembered that when Sky's sad she likes to be quiet and very alone until everything is better. So she hides at the back of the deadheads. So that's where I'll look.

It started to get darker and darker by each minute, but I wasn't going to give up my search that easily. Not until I tell her.

Finally after 20 minutes or so of looking I hear crying. I stay as quiet as I can so that I could hear what direction it was coming from.

I followed the sound of crying and saw Sky sitting against the Maze wall with her head in her knees.

"Sky?" I ask. She looks up and stares at me like I'm a ghost, tears still streaming down her face.

I go and sit next to her and she's just speechless.

"I...I...I thought you were dead!" She cries a bit more.

"I know, I know." I whisper putting my arm around her shoulder.

We stay in this position for about 10 minutes before I get up pulling her with me, because met but hurt.

"What are you doing?" She asks me. Her voice sounds cracked.

"I have to ask you something. And it's ok if you say no. I just need to ask you this so that I get it off my plate." I say.

"Go ahead. Ask away." She says nodding.

"Ok. So it's been a long while since we've been friends right? And in that long while I've developed feelings towards you. Strong feelings that I can't explain. I love you, Sky. I really do. I was just afraid that you would reject me because yo wouldn't want to ruin our friendship." I start.

"Newt, I don't want you to think that. Our friendship wouldn't be ruined if you loved me." She says starring into my eyes.

"Really?" I ask her.

"Really." She replies.

"So would it be alright if I did this then?"

"Did what?" She asks me befuddled.

"This." I say right before I place my hands on her waist and kiss her. She comes alive putting her hands in my hair, depending the kiss. The kiss becomes more passionate and heated.

"Jump." I tell her and she does.
She wraps her legs around my waist and we continue kissing until we break away for air.

I set her down on the ground and stare at her.

"Will you be my girlfriend?" I ask.

"Yes, of course Newt." She replies.

"Awesome!!" I shout throwing my arms in the air, but bring them back down because it was weird.

"I mean... Good that." She laughs and I approach her kissing her sweetly before taking her hand and walking out of the deadheads with her, knowing that she is mine and I am hers.
