It was around three in the morning when Lucine got a call from Edward.

Bella finally came back.

Lucine wasted no time in going over there, still in her pajamas, leaving Charlie and Sue a quick note explaining why she wouldn't be there when they'd wake up.

Thankfully, since Rosalie didn't sleep she was able to get the car started so they could head over as soon as she walked out the door.

"Do you think she's okay?" Lucine asked her fiancé, worried out of her mind for her sister who's been missing for an entire week. "I think you're worrying about the wrong thing." She responded. "If anything, you should be worried about whether she killed anyone again or not." Lucine had almost forgotten about that.

She'd been so worried about her missing that it almost slipped her mind that her sister was a murderer that used her death as an excuse to feed on humans.

She let out a deep sigh, running her hands through her hair as Rosalie sped through the streets. "I can't think about that right now. First I need to know she's okay before I decide to go ballistic on her." Rosalie nodded, knowing her lover had a ton of pent-up disappointment that she wasn't able to let out when she saw her sister.

In no time they reached the Cullen house. Lucine didn't wait until Rosalie parked the car, immediately jumping out as soon as they were close enough.

"Bella!" She shouted, running into the living room to find her twin sister covered in blood.

"Wha-" She didn't know what to say. "It's animal blood," Edward spoke hesitantly, reading when Lucine was thinking. Lucine let out a sigh. After the conversation they had before Bella ran out for a week, he didn't know what to think. What to feel.

He couldn't deny that he still loved Bella but that didn't stop the flow of regret that coursed through him for falling in love with her and turning her into a monster. Because, at the end of the day, Bella was a self-centered, monster and he had no one else but himself to blame for giving her an outlet.

"How are you so sure it's animal blood?" Rosalie interjected, almost challenging Edward. "Because she told me and I trust my wife." He responded, wanting to believe his own words. Both now standing defensively against each other.

"Will you two cool it?! Right now is not the time for whatever rivalry you two have going on." Lucine was getting tired of their banter.

She walked over to her sister, crouching down next to her so she wouldn't have to get up.

"Bells? What happened? Where were you?" She asked quietly. Bella ran her fingers through her hair, just like he sister. "I- I don't know. I just saw red the entire time." She confessed. Lucine looked up at everyone in the room, scared that maybe all that blood wasn't from an animal.

"Can you remember anything?" Bella closed her eyes tightly, holding her head in her hands as she tried to remember. She looked down at her sister with pleading eyes. "I didn't kill anyone. I swear." But Lucine saw right through her lies.

Even after fifteen years away from her, Lucine never forgot the glint in her sister's eyes whenever she lied. That slight twitch in her shoulder when she lied that no one but her twin would notice.

Lucine looked deeper into her sister's eyes, hoping-praying-that she was just seeing things but it was all clear as day.

Bella killed a human and held no remorse for it.

Lucine stood up, backing away from Bella. All she could feel was disappointment and fear. She couldn't bring herself to hate her because she was still her sister. They were still two sides of the same damn coin.

"Luce?" Bella asked innocently, standing up but not taking a step. Lucine shook her head with a sigh, "Stop lying to me, Bella." Edward looked away from his wife as he read Lucine's mind. For once, he couldn't defend his wife's wrongdoings.

"What are you talking about? I'm not lying." Bella tried to defend herself but that glint in her eyes wouldn't stop shining for Lucine.

"You killed a human, Bella. I know Rosalie can smell and if she can then so can Edward. So, for the love of god, stop. Lying." Lucine never got frustrated but the person standing in from of her was far from the sister she left behind.

Once Bella realized no one would take her side, she broke.

She slowly stalked towards Lucine. "Fine. You caught me but that doesn't mean I regret anything." She said seriously. "You killed an innocent person Bella." Bella just shrugged off Lucine's words.

She stalked closer, Rosalie and Edward keeping a close eye. "When have you ever cared Lucine? From the time we moved to Forks to the second you died, you were nothing but a self-centered bitch." Bella spat making Rosalie scoff, "You're not one to talk." Bella paid her no mind.

"All I ever did was think about you Bella. I-" But Lucine cut herself off, realizing this was the same argument they had at Bella's wedding. "I'm not doing this again. You can think whatever the hell you want but I sacrificed a lot for you." Lucine finished before trying to walk away.

Bella tried grabbing her but Edward was faster, holding her against him so she wouldn't attack her own sister. Rosalie quickly stood protectively in front of her fiancé.

"What the hell Bella?!" Edward cursed as he struggled to keep her still. "You sacrificed nothing! You had everything handed to you! Everyone loved you and accepted you while I had to claw my way to where I am! You don't get to play the innocent selfless girl because that was always supposed to be me!" Bella screamed as she tried to get out of her husband's hold.

Lucine started crying as she listened to her sister's words. The same sister that would come into her room to ask her to do her hair. The same sister that would tell her about her boy-related problems.

The same sister that made her promise that no matter what, they'd still have each other.

"I think this is our time to leave. We'll see you guys at the wedding." Rosalie announced before helping Lucine out of the house. Bella still screaming insults from inside.

"You ruined everything!" That was the last time Lucine heard before Rosalie drove off towards her house. A nice home somewhere in the woods that Rosalie bought two years after Lucine's passing. She just never had the guts to move in.

"Everything will be okay." She tried to reassure her loved but Lucine was too far in her thoughts to hear it.

Her sister was no longer her sister but a selfish, narcissistic monster.
