Lucine looked between the two, not wanting to think the worst but then she remembered what Jasper had told her.

Her dear, always helpless, sister went on a bloody rampage after her death.

"Bella, what did you do?" Lucine questioned, watching as Meloria held onto her husband's arm so he wouldn't take another step.

Edward held Bella protectively, "I-I didn't mean to. It was an accident." Bella stuttered, making Vincent laugh menacingly. "An accident? You dragged me into that alleyway against my will and almost drained me of every ounce of blood I had. That wasn't a fucking accident." He sneered, making Edward's hold on his wife tighter.

"Bella, what the fuck were you thinking?" Lucine said before snapping her eyes to her useless husband. "And you, why'd you let her do that?!" She was starting to feel frustrated, her heartbeat speeding up making every vampire in the room take a step back not to do anything regrettable.

"She needed it. Being cooped up wasn't doing her any good." Edward defended making Lucine scoff. "She needed it?! She killed innocent people Edward! One of those being my angel friend's father and you're trying to defend her actions?!" Lucine felt beyond frustrated.

She sighed, covering her face with her hands. Bell walked up to her, grabbing her hands so she could see her. Lucine's eyes were glossy from tears that wanted to escape. "I was depressed and angry Luce. You're my anchor and you weren't here." Lucine looks at her, completely dumbfounded.

"Are you blaming your bloody rampage on me dying?" Lucine asked silently. Bella's eyebrows shot up as her eyes widened in shock. She shook her head rapidly, "No! Of course not! I'm just saying that you're death hurt too bad. I couldn't stop." Lucine couldn't believe what she was hearing.

She never thought she'd even hear Bella say anything stupider yet here she was proving her wrong.

"That doesn't make what you did any more reasonable. I mean, come on Bella! You seriously can't be that stupid!" She screamed. She had never raised her voice at Bella but being in the darkness for so long she had enough time to think about when she was alive.

She was too selfless, she rarely told Bella what she truly felt and she was tired of it.

"Don't talk to my wife like that," Edward said in anger as he stepped closer but Jasper quickly stood in front of him before he could get any closer to Lucine.

"Another step and I swear I'll rip you to shreds." He said menacingly. Edward always held small hatred towards Lucine. Even when he missed her, he hated her.

Edward searched Jasper's face for any signs of lying but backed away once he realized he wasn't.

Lucine placed a hand on his shoulder. "It's okay Jasper. Let's just-" She sighed, turning away from everyone. "Let's go. I have to go see my dad anyways." Not a second later and she was out the door waiting.

Bella tried walking after her but Rosalie stopped her. "You've done enough." She said, looking at the woman in disgust for accusing her lover of such a thing.

"She'll find you when she wants to talk," Jasper said after. Rosalie, Jasper, Emmett, and Alice followed after Lucine.

They knew she needed to be around people she cared about, she'd been alone in the dark for far too long.

Bella ran into her waiting husband's arms as Ren ushered Tobias and his family outside so they could go home.

Tobias offered for her to come with them but she declined, knowing her mother needed her right now. Not that her mother would really talk to her, she usually just locked herself in her room with Edward and left Ren alone for who knows how long.

Bella just liked knowing her daughter cared enough to stay.

Tobias hugged her, reminding her that if she needed anything to call him or simply just show up at his place.

Vincent might hate Ren's mother, but Ren herself had done nothing to peek his anger.

"Take care. I know your mother can get a little, well, you know." Tobias said making Ren chuckle. "I've been dealing with her getting like this all my life. I'll be fine." She says with a final smile before they drove off.

Ren watched as the car drove out onto the main road before turning around and taking a deep breath.

She could hear her parents arguing in their room as soon as she walked in.

"Your sister's right, Bella. I shouldn't have let you get away with that." Edward said exasperated.

Bella scoffed.

She'd changed drastically in the past fifteen years. She was more selfish than before, if that was even possible, and Edward did just about anything to keep his wife happy. He did anything to keep himself from the receiving end of her anger.

Ren locked herself in her room, trying to tune out her parents arguing in the other room but it wasn't really working.

A part of her wanted to call Tobias to distract herself from it all but he had just gotten his father back and she didn't want to take away from that with her issues.

"Why does everyone always side with her?! Why do her words mean more than mine?!" Ren could hear Bella's muffled voice scream through the walls.

Selfish. It was the only word she could use to describe her mother.

"Are you hearing yourself?! Have you thought that maybe people listen to Lucine because she has others' interests at heart? People listen to your sister because she does what's best for everyone, not just herself." Edward argued back.

Ren let out a sigh, wishing they didn't have to fight so much.

Growing up Bella was a very distant mother. Ren spent more time with her aunts Alice and Rosalie than she ever did with Bella.

For a while, she even thought that maybe her mother hated her. Ren never did anything for her mother to hate her so she completely disregarded the idea.

Bella scoffed, "What? Are you in love with her too?!" Ren flinched at the tone in Bella's voice even though her words weren't directed at her.

"What? No! Bella, how could think something like that!? All I'm saying is that you need to calm down and admit that what you did was wrong." Ren didn't hear her mother respond. All she heard was doors quickly opening and closing and the rustling of leaves outside.

Bella had left the house, letting Ren finally breathe.
