Back to the village...
"Kades was here. We should advise everyone to be more careful... the guards might also cause any noise to harm them." Yalex stated while staring at the dead bodies they've just finished off.
They've noticed that all the guards they killed showed symptoms of Kades plague. Meaning that Kades was there and Gammon is obviously making an army of enraged Arcadians through her.
"You should tell them so it'll be quick. I'll continue to look for more." Samuel said to him.
Yalex simply nodded and immediately disappeared. Leaving Samuel by himself as he continues to stare ahead where a quinses is at and obviously waiting for anyone to make a mistake of creating a sound.
He lifted his bow and arrow and aimed it on the monster. Staring at it with one thing in his mind...
"Maybe we should have killed these monsters before instead of putting them in one place. It's killing everyone..." he thought.
Quinses is one of creatures in Arcadia that are debated to either be executed or placed somewhere secured to preserve their race.
Samuel hoped that they could be tamed but they are far too aggressive so keeping them in one place far away from them is the best option so far just so the Arcadians will not insist on performing massacre to their race.
The primes hoped to preserve them but it seems that the quinses proved to this day that they are better existing as fossils.
Samuel shot the arrow and it struck the quinses' head within a split second. Instead of falling down, the monster froze as the ice slowly spread on its body from where it got shot. The freezing of its body caused a sound, obviously drawing in the last quinses in the Bridge.
Samuel effortlessly climbed on top of the now frozen monster and waited for the last quinses to come.
"Come here you b**ch!" Samuel muttered under his breath as he aimed another arrow to the monster that is now in his sight.
He shot the arrow immediately the sooner he got the better shot of its head despite its aggressive movement. It turned into ice like the one he's standing at.
"Now. It's just the guards that are left." He sighed as he jumped off the monster and went searching for the others. He was able to find them with a few survivors they had.
"Where's Blue?" He asked as he remembered the angel accompanying Coleen earlier. He didn't had to speak telepathically now since there's no quinses left in the village.
"He went after Ej and the other two. They're probably luring the fifth quinses out of here, back to their nest." Flame said.
"Yalex. Go and bring these children to the hotel. One of the Cins is waiting there to aid the kids. And take the adults to the headquarters, Healers from the stonekeepers are also there to help. Be back immediately once you're done." Samuel instructed.
Yalex took the survivors with him and left as instructed.
"Stay sharp. There are a lot of guards around the village that are infected with the Kades plague. They will pretend to be a survivor and kill you once they get a chance. So keep yourself alert, we have already briefed you to learn whether they're infected or not to be extra careful." He reminded them again.
"Coleen. You may stay here in this village with Jay and the rest of the vampires to kill the infected. I'll take the wolves with me to find more quinses to kill." He said to the girl before beckoning the wolves to leave.
