The primes gathered at the main hall where they usually do their daily prayers with everyone on the moon. And it has been strictly implemented by Blue since a week after the wedding. Especially after the pregnancy became hard for the two. It didn't matter which God they prayed to. As long as their prayers include keeping the babies strong and Yvel and Coleen would make it.
After their prayers, they went back to their chambers where all ten of the primes decided to sleep together. Samuel insisted that they all stay together to make sure that in any case something happens, they'll all be there to help. It also helps to easily share the strength to the four whenever they feel the most weak at the time.
"Oh right! Five days from now marks your seventh month Yvel. And then another week for Coleen. Can we do a gender reveal after you both turned seven months pregnant?" Jade suddenly said with excitement.
When she was just new to the land. Jade would always watch videos on social media about pregnancy and some of them included gender reveals. She had a knack of watching it since her main mission when she went onto land is to find someone that will help her continue her pure bloodline.
She's always been curious of what it would be like to be pregnant and do what the humans did. And she felt a huge deal of shame because she didn't get to do all of that. She and Samuel are both busy fighting when she is pregnant in Arcadia.
And during her labor. She was trying to rescue Samuel from a den who got knocked out after killing his enemy who tried to eat her alive.
And when she was giving birth. Samuel couldn't hold her hand because he had to make sure none of their enemies could step one foot closer to her. Samuel almost died protecting her that day. But the cries of their first born made him stay stronger and fight for his family.
"Yeah. We should do that. Jade and I didn't get to do that for Acrox and Mako. It would be nice to do it for your kids." Samuep said with a hint of sadness in his tone as he also feels the same disappointment as Jade.
"Then we should. It doesn't need to be grand. Just the ten of us is enough." Coleen hummed weakly.
They talked about it for a few hours until they fell asleep. Except Rhian, Samuel and Jade.
Everyone's already aware about Rhian's prenatal issues and they've already comforted her and assured her that it's not gonna make Blue think differently of her.
"What was it like?" Rhian suddenly asked the two.
"What was what like?"
"None of us were really there when Acrox and Mako were born. And we never really talked about it at all. I mean when did you even learn you were pregnant?" Rhian asked again as she had been genuinely curious.
"Mermaids have the ability to know when we get pregnant. So when I did, I knew it because I could feel life growing inside me. And I also knew we'll be having twins." Jade explained proudly.
"She learned she was pregnant about two months when we set out with our first mission in Arcadia. We couldn't have anyone join us at the moment because everybody's trying to attack us. Her scent changed when she got pregnant and it attracted every savage possible. They tried to eat her alive because apparently if they eat pregnant women, it'll make their life longer." Samuel added.
"That's horrible. We've been in Arcadia for years! I didn't know there's people like that there. Blue and I never killed one of them at Kar-thal." Rhian exclaimed with a disgusted expression.
Although she's heard about tales of witches doing that on earth. But in a different method. Unlike Arcadians who are said to be eating them preferably alive.
"You won't. We discovered that the path we took is their territory. When we tried to leave, they kept us cornered in their lands. Until we eventually realized that they can't step out of their own lands." Jade explained again with an amused expression.
"When we checked. We discovered that they're not Arcadians. Their land is actually a big chunk of asteroid that hit Arcadia a thousand years ago. But things like that don't kill the planet like it would do to earth. Mainly because of the elementals that are sleeping and still protecting it."
"So that asteroid remained there which happened to be sheltering eggs of aliens. They're like the hollows from the underworld and disguised themselves as Arcadians. So when we tried to approach them first and got a whiff of my scent, it drove them crazy and tried to eat me."
"They won't let us leave their lands because they can't follow us anywhere. Samuel and I studied them and eventually found a way to just kill them since they'll never let us leave anyway."
"They are the same as ants. So killing their queen was the way to finish them all. I was in labor when we did that."
"When we got off their land, apparently it stinks of fresh meat to some monsters which drew them aggressively like the corpse is some type of a beacon. While we were trying to fight our way out, that's when I gave birth."
"Wow! And you never even told us about this before?" Rhian dramatically commented. "You literally spent your nine months pregnancy in an alien's home!" She added which made the couple laugh at her reaction.
"It's only four months. Her people don't need nine months to get pregnant. Both of our genes also helped to develop the babies in her belly faster than we thought. That's also why Acrox and Mako are different from other kids. They develop quickly." Samuel stated proudly as he could still remember everyone's reaction after hearing their twins speak when they were just two years old.
"That's cool. It was a very dangerous pregnancy but you got through it together. And Acrox and Mako are even born healthy." She praised with a very genuine smile on her face.
"Don't be glum, Rhian. We're primes. Acrox and Mako are first borns and first children of primes. Which also makes them a daughter and son to you and Blue as well. We are a big family here aren't we?" Jade said to her as she moved to sit beside the vampire to comfort her.
Rhian is very glad that Jade is very considerate of her feelings. Everyone comforted her but Jade comforted her the most.
"You know. I'm rather curious... We've never seen Acrox and Mako grow up because we had to forget about them. But they still grew up to be wise and brave. My son had become a man and my daughter had become a lady. None of us were there to know how it happened but it did."
"So I'm curious. The twins are literally decades older than the babies. I wonder how they'll react to their first cousins." Samuel while staring ahead in a daze.
"They'll love them."
