As soon as the elevator opened, Rhian was first to walk out and took in the rain of bullets. But it only felt like raindrops to her skin that simply fell down the floor once it hit her.
She stood there like a lunatic and smiling at them, waiting until they eventually realized that bullets do not hurt her.
A few of them from the frontline immediately fled out of fear. But there is no way out except for the same elevator that the vampires came from.
"Now! My turn!" Rhian giggled before she suddenly disappeared before their eyes and one by one, the guards started screaming and gurgling on their own blood.
Blue casually walks in the middle while the vampires, including Dawn, are killing everyone that comes their way.
When they got to the main lab, Blue's face went into a heavy frown upon seeing three young boys with tubes plugged all over their limbs. He could barely tell if the tubes were sucking out their blood or injecting the black solution coming from the 10 liters jug beside their bed.
The main lab must've been covered with soundproof mirror walls since the scientists inside are very unaware that they are about to be killed.
Blue felt his blood boil. He stepped closer and placed his hand on the glass while listening to the beeping sounds from inside that was almost clouded by screams and gunshots.
"I'm sorry." He heard Dawn whisper with a shaky voice as she too was staring inside beside him.
She was crying and Blue could see his own emotions mirrored on her.
They both feel that they are too late.
Blue tried to teleport inside but it seems to not be working. He didn't have to ask why since most of the security systems in that base are solely created to tell if he's there and prevent him from teleporting in and out.
"They're just boys!" It was Heeseung who had also seen the lab.
He was preoccupied with murdering the guards earlier but when he happened to catch a glimpse of the two staring like they were trance, he went to check them and was surprised to see the three boys inside.
It was the worst thing he had seen. The scientists treated them less than a human and simply a specimen to their eyes.
Heeseung and Dawn stared at Blue. It only took a second before the angel turned the four corners of the walls into dust. Interrupting all the scientists inside.
The sooner they realized what was going on, all the vampires had already surrounded them with blood covered mouths.
"I'd call myself a monster right now, but you all beat me to it." Rhian muttered with gritted teeth. Her hands itched to just claw their necks open.
She could not even think of drinking their blood. That's how much she is disgusted by their actions. It was too atrocious and unforgivable.
"Take it off." Blue's voice was emotionless but it was enough to scare the scientists as they all rushed to take off all the tubes from the children.
But by the time they did, it was too late because the boys died right away. The sound of the flatline made the vampires more aggressive. Especially Dawn as she had seen those boys entering the facility in a healthy state the day she and Killer were dispatched to hunt down the primes.
"Killing you all will not be enough! Even your death will never be able to pay the price for taking the lives of innocent children!" Blue said as he stared at the souls of the three boys.
He knows that they feel a huge deal of injustice and he could not bear to send them to the afterlife until they see the people who killed them pay the price for what they've done.
"Keep them alive! Purgatory has no place to judge monsters like them. I will bring them to hell in the flesh!" The angel muttered before he walked out to find the main root of this horrendous doings.
Niki and Dawn went after Blue as planned while the rest of the vampires took the scientists to the lobby.
"He's still inside. Rhian found the door earlier and did that." Niki said blankly before he pointed at the lock of the door.
It was melted to make sure the door would not be opened. The security pass is also broken.
"I could smell his fear." Dawn muttered and turned to Blue.
He pulled out his sword again and cut the door open. He stayed outside first and let Dawn and Niki come inside.
The general is unaware that Killer looked like Niki so he still assumes that Killer is the one who appeared with Dawn. He always deemed the two as his treasured price and would manipulate them to his advantage. Especially Killer who is the most eager to prove himself. Which is why Dawn herself suggested switching his brother with Niki since Pollard will not know either way.
"My children! Thank heavens!" Pollard exclaimed with relief. He would've hugged them but he knows he shouldn't.
"Hello father." Dawn said and faked a smile.
She could feel her inside boiling just by calling him that but she can't blow the cover just yet.
"Come! We must get out of here! We can start anew and leave all this behind." Pollard began as he started picking up his suitcase filled with important papers.
When he was about to walk past the two, Niki effortlessly snatched the suitcase from him and pushed him back.
"I don't think so." He said and Pollard immediately frowned.
"You ungrateful bastard! I created you! You don't act like that in front of me!" The general growled and tried to pull the suitcase from Niki's hold but the vampire used it to hit his face. Dropping him to the ground with a bruised cheek.
"If Killer was here, he would've started shaking in fear right?" Niki scoffed. He somehow finds it pathetic how Killer is easily manipulated by fear when all he could see from this man is fear itself, creating an authority for himself to use those that are more powerful than him by manipulating their minds.
"It's normal. Because he created Killer and input a trigger in his brain that is stimulated by his voice. So even if he's not afraid, his brain makes him." Dawn explained with a sad voice.
She also hates how Killer was created like that. And Pollard uses her brother to manipulate her.
"My name's Niki. Killer and I have the same face but that's all you need to know." Niki huffed before he opened the suitcase by force.
"Don't touch that!" Pollard tried to stand up and snatch the papers and a flashdrive when Niki took it out of the suitcase.
Dawn immediately kicked him away and caused him a bloody nose.
Niki scoffed and felt something turn in his stomach when he saw what was in the papers.
"And you're still planning to continue this research? Have you no shame on yourself!?" Dawn exclaimed as she too also saw what's in the paper.
"He doesn't. Monsters don't know shame nor how to stop themselves."
