BLUE HOUR: THE FINAL CHAPTER

"He doesn't. Monsters don't know shame nor how to stop themselves." It was Blue who spoke as he finally entered the room.

When Pollard saw him and recognized him, he immediately crawled back with evident fear on his face.

"You know, seeing those people treating children like lab rats. It eerily reminded me of when I was in the same spot. I said to myself that killing them will never be enough to make them pay. But with you..."

Blue crouched down to level with the general...

"You're different. If they are the monster ants. You are the queen mother. The worst of the worst. Sending you to hell alive will never be enough."

"Instead..."

"I will show you exactly how it felt in that position. I will make you feel exactly how those innocent children felt when you were poisoning their bodies and taking away their bright futures."

"And when you feel like you are dying... I will do whatever it takes to keep you alive so we can begin another trial. And I will do it to you just as much as how many futures you have stolen and attempted to steal. It will be your very own hell loop."

"The moment you start begging me to just kill you. I will keep you alive and well. And make you feel all the pain that you've brought to those children again and again."

Blue then lifted his hand and gently placed it on the general's cheek. But instead of dying and withering away, the general could feel something strange that entered his body.

Blue started chanting something that oddly sounded like a spell. His eyes also went completely white and soon, so did Pollard. His eyes turned and looked like he was being possessed.

"W-what is he doing?" Dawn asked as she had never seen anything like it before.

"He's putting a hex on him. From what I learned at our sanctuary, years ago. It's a demon's curse. King Yalex must've taught him about that." Niki whispered as he watched the curse finish.

Blue stepped back with a grin as his eyes turned back normal while the general started choking on his own breath. He was muttering incoherent words as he try to crawl away from the angel.

He heard what Niki said. He was right that it is a demon's curse. But he did not learn it from Yalex.

When he was helping Coleen to read the book of demons, they both learned about that curse. So the two of them probably know lots of dangerous curse spells than Trevor. Some of those spells are even created by Yalex himself.

"Knock him out and take them to the others." Blue said nonchalantly before walking out first.

Niki used the suitcase again and hit Pollard on his head to knock him out before he carried the man as they left.

By the time the three got to the lobby, everybody's there except the children that were rescued.

"Don't worry. K brought them outside so they wouldn't see these people." Rhian said as she approached them.

Blue only nodded in response before he finally opened a portal to the primes headquarters. The scientists are no longer surprised to see that he can do that, they are already aware of some things that Blue can do. But except for the very fact that he is the Azrael.

"We'll bring them in, you three should go and check on the children." Rhian said to him and the twins.

Blue decided to go outside with Killer and Dawn. When they got there, they saw only less than a dozen children enjoying the sunlight like happy children. It made the sibling very emotional because they know how special that moment is.

Ever since they were born inside, they've never seen sunlight or moonlight. The only thing they see when they look up is the four white corners of their room so being able to smile under the sun again felt like a dream. They were never allowed to play either or disobey almost a hundred rules.

"Hey." It was K who approached the three.

He didn't want to ruin their emotional moment but he figured he needed to let them know as soon as possible.

"We tried to rescue everybody... But the human tests had already begun with most of them. The scientists must've put something inside their body so when we tried to rescue them, the thing inside them killed them all. When we got there, all the mothers had already been killed too so we couldn't save anyone else but them." K explained.

Dawn wiped away her tears as she explained why since Blue seemed confused why they're not used for experiments.

"They're toddlers. They prepare the newcomers five years after birth before undergoing the experiments. The doctors said that it is enough time to condition their bodies. We also went through the same. The three boys at the lab are the first in their batch." She said while watching the remaining survivors laughing as they sat on the backs of the wolves and taking a walk.

"Stay here. I'll come back inside to guide the souls. Then we can start burying their bodies in a nice place." Blue said before he walked back inside and did his duty.

"Tomorrow's the wedding. Should we stop by Hotel Volkswitch? Yvel sent an invitation to them but they probably can't go to the moon without our help. Yalex on the moon too." Blue said to Rhian while fixing his hair in front of the vanity.

"Sure. I'm sure Trevor and Coleen won't mind." She replied as she made her way behind him.

Trevor and Coleen just arrived yesterday. Two days after Samuel and Jade returned with their kids. The sorcerer couple had already shared the news to them and they were all happy and congratulated them both.

But it also made Rhian feel anxious and envious of the two.

"What's wrong?" Blue asked when he noticed that Rhian seems to be lost in thought.

She sighed in response and sat on the bed. Watching as Blue turned to look at her.

"I need to tell you something." She said in a sad tone.

"Go ahead. What's happening?"

"I wanna get pregnant too." She said all of a sudden which made Blue flustered.

His cheeks immediately dusted pink and couldn't say any reaction to it. He's speechless.

"Uhm... T-that..." Blue cleared his throat as he tried to think of any proper response that wouldn't offend her.

"Why aren't you saying anything?" She asked as she looked up to him with a grumpy pout.

"Rhian. I honestly don't know what to say. I mean i-if you want that. I-I really don't mind. I-I'd want that too... y-you know. For us. For our future." He immediately said with a completely blushing face.

But then Rhian suddenly bursted into tears. Which made Blue very confused. He couldn't tell whether she's sad or happy that he wants it too.

"Hey! Why are you crying? I want it too. I wanna have a family with you too. Okay? Please don't cry." He tried to hush her and immediately pulled her to a hug.

"I-It's not that..." she whimpered and Blue finally senses that she is in emotional pain. And it began to bother him.

"Hey. Baby please. Tell me what's wrong. Why are you crying?" He asked calmly and made the vampire look at him, wiping away her tears.

"I can't get pregnant."
