"What's wrong?" Yvel yelled when Kitsch suddenly shifted and hopped onto one of the ore towers.
She looked at him carefully and noticed the bothered expression of his face. His eyes are also flickering orange. It must've something to do with Ysabella.
"Is everything okay? Kitsch?" She asked as she jumped to the tower he's at.
She crouched down to level with him and noticed that Kitsch is trying to get into his sister's head but she's blocking him.
"Hey. What's happening?" She asked again in a calmer tone and eventually, Kitsch finally looked at her.
"Ysabella. She and Yalex had a fight. She's in emotional distress." He said followed by a dejected sigh.
"It's just a lovers quarrel and it's common between relationships, Kitsch. They probably just had a fight and they're the only ones who can fix that. It can happen to every couple okay? Even to us." She explained to him and Kitsch immediately sulked and pouted.
"I don't want us to fight." He said and Yvel chuckled.
"I don't want that either. And you and I are very understanding of each other. But know, that couple's fights also makes the relationship stronger. It's not necessary but it's part of the journey " she explained again and the dragon nodded his head in response.
"Now now! It's no time to sulk. We have quinses climbing up to us right now!" Yvel stood up and pulled up the dragon with her too.
This time, Kitsch was smiling as he looked down at the creatures below.
"What is it?" She asked, noticing the playful smile he had on his face.
"It feels like we're on top of the world right now. Just you and me." He said and looked at his mate with adoring eyes.
Yvel fondly returned the smile as she leaned closer and gave a quick kiss. But Kitsch held her on her waist and pulled her closer. Keeping their kiss intact, longer and deeper.
The two kissed on top of the tower like there's monsters that are climbing up to their location to rip them off each other. But who cares about that now when they have each other in a warm embrace.
"Do you want to sneak somewhere quiet?" Yvel whispered playfully as they kept their foreheads pressed and catching their breath.
"Don't tempt me. I might actually sneak out of this fight to play with you."
"Then don't resist."
Kitsch leaned back and pinched both of her cheeks. "I love you and I'd be thrilled to get out of this place with you. But I hate it when everyone nags us so let's finish the job here first."
"Then we can sneak out just for an hour before the fight! That should be enough!" Yvel added with a giggle.
The two laughed at each other before they both stepped back and allowed their body to fall off the tower. When they are almost a meter away from the quinses.
Yvel immediately floated in the air and shoved an attack to the monsters.
Kitsch on the other hand released his wings and made his own attack with his sword as well. He could summon a glass-looking sword whenever he stayed in his human form and used his wings.
"It's almost time! We must head to our last destination for the final fight!" Trevor announced upon receiving the telepathic message from Samuel.
He ordered everyone to fall back and go to their next location where the fight will be held.
Samuel had a vision that the fight would take place at the Haron Desert. Gammon and his armies will gather there to seemingly ambush the primes and their allies. Unbeknownst to the army of demons that Yalex have prepared for their sweet ending.
Everyone began traveling to the said desert. They could see the black smoke that was spreading on the ground like an airborne virus.
Trevor figured that it is the wave that Yalex was talking about which would kill all the quinses within seconds.
Luckily, the cant valley wasn't very far from the desert. So Trevor and his group will be the first to get there and wait.
It took only an hour and a half when they got there. The same displeasing burnt smell still lingered in the desert and it made everyone frown. But nevertheless, they waited there.
More of their allies started coming. First are the vampires who were with Heeseung. Then those who came from Xecma and other kingdoms at Arkos until they are eventually completed after those who fought at Vialem arrive.
All ten of the primes stood by the frontline and faced their direction ahead. It was the direction that points to Kar-thal. Erda's resting place but since her powers were absorbed by Kades, they stayed there for the time being.
Kar-thal is the only place on Arcadia that they didn't go to. So those who came from Vialem really had a bunch of enemies to fight because Kar-thal is just by the shore. And they are the one who's bringing the fight to the desert.
"We've expected it. But the numbers are indeed twice." Jade said to her husband as they all kept their battleface looking ahead.
"Coleen. Trevor. Start the spell." He instructed the two.
The couple nodded at him before they ran to the middle of their troops. Coleen started the spell first and then Trevor joined in.
The spell is for all the Arcadians who have no ability to heal themselves. It will work for everyone so whenever they get hurt, they'll heal right away. Their forces are too small without the demons yet, so the primes looked for a way to keep their numbers as it is.
A glowing circle with a witchcraft symbol spread out all over everyone but it dissipated almost immediately.
"That should be enough. The spell can only heal everyone no matter the bad injury. But definitely not to bring anyone back to life if you get stabbed in the heart or decapitated." Trevor made it clear to everyone before he and Coleen returned to the frontline. "But most of all. The spell will keep you safe from Kades' plague." He added.
They stood there in silence. Waiting for the attack of the huge force coming their way. But despite knowing that they are outnumbered. None among them felt afraid.
Well maybe except for their allies from earth since they honestly have no turf with Arcadia. But they're just worried if they'll make it through the end of the fight.
But for the Arcadians. Their rage and thirst for revenge remains unmatched towards Gammon and Kades. And all of the traitors who betrayed them to save themselves.
They don't feel fear and only the frustrating want of tearing their enemies apart. As long as they believe Gammon, mercy will not be an option.
"They're here." Samuel muttered just as when everyone spots the frontline of their enemy. Led by Gammon and Tanya.
"That's not Queen Tanya anymore. Gammon killed her so Kades can use her body to go back to life." Jade said.
