Casey pov:I woke up in the lair, still feeling drained, with my head on Dee's shoulder and Amy curled up next to me.
I rub circles on Amy's back with a small smile.
"Mama... Mama." She muttered in her sleep, sounding stressed.
"I'm right here. I'm not leaving you." I reassure her sleeping form, pulling her in closer to me and Donnie. She visibly relaxed and stopped muttering. I give her a small kiss on the forehead.
"I promise to stick by your side and love you till the day I die, little sis. You'll never have to face what I have, before Jack." I quietly vowed to her, giving her another kiss on the forehead.
"I promise." I whisper to her again.
"Romise at?" My drunk sounding boyfriend asked, meaning to ask "promise what?".
"It's a sibling secret." I smile, almost evilly, as his face turn from sleepy and curious, to pouty.
"But babe~, you can trust me! I won't rat you out!" He whines.
"I just promised her something, nothing you should be worried about. I promise." I told him, getting a bit anxious.
"... Ok..." He sighs defeatedly.
Amy starts to wake up, she's always been an early riser. She snuggles closer to me as she wakes up.
"... Mama...?" She asked, tears in her eyes.
"Yes, sweet pea?" I asked her, concerned. She hugged onto me tighter.
"... Please don't die or kick me out..." She begged, I quickly put two and two together and frowned.
"I promise I won't kick you out and I promise you that I will try to stick with you for as long as the gods allow me to. I promise your nightmare won't become reality." I tell her. She clings onto me and cries.
"... I-I'm s-so s-sorry I-I r-react-ted the way I-I d-did about y-you a-and D-Donnie!... I-I j-just mis-ss E-Eli s-so m-much!" She yelled in-between sobs.
I pet her hair and brought her in close.
"Shh, shh... It's ok... I understand... I didn't think I was ready for another relationship yet until yesterday, the 3 year mark of me, the guys, Donnie, and Red meeting each other, cause Donnie is fucking cheeseier than the cheesesicles Master Splinter likes." I tell her, getting a small giggle from the nine year old.
"That's really cheesy." She laughs a bit more. I smile.
"Yeah... Wait till I tell you all the cheesy shit he did for Red before falling for me."
"Babe!" He yelled with a bright blush on his face. Amy and I laugh, then it got quiet for a while.
"... Casey... I decided that I shouldn't have reacted like I did to your relationship with Donnie last night... I'm sorry, and I really don't care as long as you're happy, loved, and safe." She apologized. I smiled and hugged her tightly.
"... You have no idea how much that means to me." I told her, happily.
She put on a joking grin.
"Just use protection." She said in a joking manner.
"That's still gross. You can't change my mind." I said in a deadpan voice.
"I know, just joking!" She laughed. Then something clicked.
"Wait, how do you know about that?!" I yelled at her.
"Remember how many women Jack had at the house?... I wasn't always asleep." She bluntly said.
"No, I don't remember. I was trying to make myself deaf with blaring music in my earbuds so I wouldn't have to listen to them go at it." I say, annoyed.
"... How much shit have you gone through?" Donnie asked.
"A lot." Amy bluntly responded.
"At least triple what she's gone through." I also deadpan.
He looks to Amy, almost questioning her.
"My dad, after adopting Casey, beat, raped, and cheated on my mom, making her move back Jersey. That's not even half of it." She explained to him, he looked at me with the same questioning eyes.
I sigh.
"Melanie was always so kind, I felt so bad when I realized what Jack was doing to her. Amy was 5, I think, and I was about 11." I tell him.
His eyes widened. I don't think he expected what Amy said to be true.
"The rest of my family is in New Jersey... But, I don't think Casey would've wanted to go back to Jersey if we had the choice... Especially considering that that's where his mom is..." She cut herself off.
Tears started to fill my eyes again, thinking of my mom and biological family makes me upset... A lot. Amy was right, if I could avoid it, I'm not going back to New Jersey. I'm keeping my gay ass here in New York... Away from that gravesite...
My mom and I were close, very close. She called me her little clone cause I looked exactly like her, just as a guy. We'd do everything we could together. Drawing, dancing, painting, sewing, stargazing. Everything.
... When she died, it made me feel alone... Then, the rest of my family got sick, including me... Within a month, I was healthy and my family was dead.
They had all been buried at the same gravesite... A place I swore not to go until I died.
I snap back to reality, crying silently. Donnie and Amy both pulled me into a hug.
"I love you both... So much." I tell them as I hugged them both, of course meaning the ilys in different ways, calming down as I hold onto them.
"We love you too." They say in sync, which amazes me cause less than 24 hours ago, Amy was probably willing to rip his throat out.
We all figure that we should rest more before going and taking our seats at breakfast, so we all went to Donnie's room and made a cuddle pile. Donnie was on the bottom, I was in the middle, and Amy was on top.
I could hear Donnie churring quietly, Amy's soft snores, and the, slightly fast, beating of Donnie's heart. I smile to myself as I fall asleep.
School can wait, I need another day with my sister and my fucking hot ass boyfriend before I can go back.
