Casey pov:
It's only been a week of being open again and I've sewn several hundred dresses and suits.
I'm not even exaggerating.
I actually decided to change my schedule due to how much business I'm getting. I will not work on Saturdays, to give my hands a break, and that's exactly what today is.
Donnie and I decided to sleep past 10, then he made breakfast.
When I tried to eat, my hands started hurting. Went I went to rub my right hand, Don asked me something.
"What?" I asked, not hearing him.
"Is your hand ok?" He asked me again.
"... It's hurting a bit... I think it's from all of the projects after not sewing in a while." I explained.
It was quiet for a moment before he spoke up again.
"Give me your hand." He tells me, I obey.
He starts popping some of the joints and massaging the rest of my hand.
It felt a lot better. At first it felt weird, now it doesn't hurt as bad.
"And done!" He exclaimed.
I smiled at him.
"Thanks, Don. It feels a lot better." I tell him.
"You're pushing yourself too hard. Your hand is cramping from not resting enough or not stretching it enough." He lectures me, I just look away cause I know he's right.
He looks at me, silently scolding me, then sighs.
He was so... Disappointed... in me... It made me feel terrible.
Before I knew it, silent tears were falling, his gaze quickly fell when he realized what was going on and he pulled me into a hug.
"Oh, Babe... I didn't mean to make you cry... I'm so sorry... Just, please, take better care of yourself." He told me, close to crying himself.
"I-I'll t-try-y..." I tell him, trying to compose myself.
We both calmed down after about ten minutes, then Amy comes into the kitchen, with bed head and in her jammies, just staring at us.
"... Am I intruding on a sob fest?" She asked.
"N-no... I just got worked up a-a bit ago and i-it worked Donnie up." I slightly studdered out, wiping the tear streaks off my cheeks.
"Worked up about what?" She asked.
"I slightly lectured him about taking care of himself and he thought I was disappointed in him." Donnie explained, covering my ears the best he could to stop possibly triggering me to start crying again.
"That'll do it... What's for breakfast?" She asked after Donnie uncovered my ears.
"It's on the stove. You should finish eating, Casey." He told me and answered Amy's question.
We all quickly finished eating, then Don convinced me to let him take care of me all day today.
Amy went off into her room, relaxing in her room.
Donnie was basically forcing me to have a spa day, starting a lavender scented bubble bath, gathering things to help him give a massage, and other things to "help" me relax.
... I doubt it'll work.
He rushed me to the bath as he got the rest of the stuff.
Once I got in it, I understood why it was relaxing.
The bath was the perfect temperature, just cool enough to not burn, but not ice cold. I was comfortable.
And bubbles make everything better.
Only downer is that I can't smell the lavender he put in the bath.
After I left the bath, I changed into the purple hoodie and some purple sweats that recently showed up at my house, I assume they're Donnie's. They are baggy and comfortable, so I'm not going to even ask.
After I left the bathroom, Donnie pulled me to my bedroom.
He put on a random movie on the TV I just got recently and sat me in his lap, giving me a shoulder massage.
There was a pop in my right shoulder and he paused.
"...Why'd you stop?" I asked.
The massage felt amazing after all.
"Your injured should popped... Does it hurt?" He asked.
"No, the opposite. It feels amazingly great." I told him, resting my head on his shoulder.
He smiled and continued for another thirty minutes.
When he stopped again, he wrapped his arms around my waist, pulling me closer. I smiled and grabbed one of his hands, intertwining our fingers.
He rested his chin on my shoulder, his head leaning on my neck a bit.
I sat up just a bit to kiss his forehead, the relaxed against him again.
"... I love you, Casey." He said, halfway asleep I think.
"I love you too, Donatello." I tell him back.
He chuckled a bit.
"Is that the first time you used my full name?" He laughed as he asked.
I think back for a moment, the laugh with him.
"Yeah, I think so." I answered his question.
We laugh for a moment before quieting down and relaxing again.
After a few minutes of silence, I felt tired, relaxing into Don more.
Eventually, I fell asleep on top of him.
We stayed like this the entire day, in each other's arms and presence, stealing kisses when we can and sleeping the day away.
This truly was a self care day...
But Casey Jones style.
