Here we are again. The last few weeks have been... What's the word? Difficult. It's been difficult dealing with the deaths of our best friends. It was like thousand-pound dumbells stacking on our backs with every move we made.

But one feeling about this whole situation is, I always feel like I'm being watched by someone or something like that. As if someone's in an empty room with me.

Maybe it's a good thing. Right?

Maybe that means that they're safe and watching us from above. But the feeling is more on the creepy side for me. I have no idea if they're trying to send me and the pouges a little message, but they currently suck at doing it.

But here we are. In the chateau backyard. Standing in front of the massive tree that holds the place together. It's like the glue of the house. The glue that couldn't dry to save my life.

All four of us, Kiara, Pope, JJ, and I, stood in front of it while Pope swung an ax at the face of the tree. Soon enough a crappy heart started forming on the tree.

You guessed it!

We were having a private memorial for John b. If the town wasn't going to have one for him, we will. He's still our best friend. He didn't hurt or kill anyone. He especially didn't kill sheriff Peterkin.

I was holding a small brown shoe box that was filled with John b's belongings. Stuff like his colorful string and beaded bracelets, summer caps, and stickers that he always had laying in his room. Just cool little items that belonged to him that made me and Kiara smile even if we took a small glance at them.

I looked down at the box and a small smile grew on my pink lips. I saw a small bracelet that John b would always wear throughout elementary and middle school until he outgrew it. He had growth in him. Lots of it. I knew his younger self would be extremely proud of him.

"All done." I heard Pope grunt, lightly tossing the axe to the side. The boys began walking up to me and Kiara with exhausted and remorseful complexions.

Then, JJ stood next to me and I watched his bright blue eyes quickly dart into the box filled with his best friend's belongings, quietly chuckle, and look away.

"Ready?" Kiara whispered, turning her head both ways, for a signal. "Ready. One second." I heard JJ huff before he reached into his jean pocket and pulled something out.
