All of a sudden, my power was back

All of a sudden, my power was back. I had full control over my body. I was energized but I couldn't help but feel baffled at the same time.

I gently opened my brown eyes, and my eyes darted around my surroundings. I was still on the cold chateau floor, but no one was around me. I was all alone.

Until I felt a weight on the side of my stomach and a few sobs and whimper came after. I slowly tilted my head down, noticing my boyfriend down on his knees, sobbing as his blonde hair poked and tickled my stomach.

"Please. I can't lose you, Madalyn. I need you." He kept sobbing out, digging his head further into my stomach. "I'm not ready for you to leave me." He muttered, sniffling, and grabbing my cold wrist.

A miserable little smile appeared on my lips as I heard and watched the blonde boy struggle to keep his sobs down or stop them.

I looked away from him, seeing the floor covered in bloody wipes, disinfection alcohol bottles that had bloody hand prints on it, bandages, sewing strings, and a needle. JJ's bloody shirt was next to my ankle.

My ankle was cleaned and wrapped in multiple bandages and gauze. Keeping the wound from getting infected and trying to heal it, even if I died.

My attention went back to JJ, who kept weeping into my stomach. "Maddie..." He whispered, carefully dropping my hand on the wood floor.

"Oh, Jay..." I lightly whispered, before I lazily reached my hand towards him, which had dry specks of blood on my palm, and placed it in his blonde hair.

He immediately flinched and popped his head up and we locked eyes. A gasp flew from his lips, and his bright blue puffy eyes widened.

He came rushing towards my upper body, and a sweet smile grew on my lips while my hand slipped out of his hair and onto the floor.

"Hi, baby." I softly whispered in a cracked but calm voice. "Princess. Oh my god." He whispered, shaking his head, in disbelief, as he placed his hands on my shoulders.

"I-I-I thought I lost you." He had a difficult time saying before I propped myself up on my elbows and my hand clutched the side of his cheek and caressed circles.
"I really thought." He whispered, gently grabbing and squeezing my cold wrist.

"You thought wrong," I whispered back, watching one more tear slip but I was quick to move one of my fingers, and flick the teardrop away from his bright eyes.
