We deeply and curiously watched and heard while the blonde boy let out a soft grunt as he screwed the small pocket knife into the screws of the small blinds that blocked our exit, trying to twist it off. It's been a little over five minutes, and he's only gotten the first screw off, and nearly halfway done with the final one. We were patient with him, knowing that if one of them were to slip a sly remark, I was going to defend him and motivate him to keep going because their rudeness and their stress weren't helping us get out and save Sarah.

"Okay, we raid the armory, get weapons, roll back here, and plot the next move." JJ started explaining, watching him snatch the small knife away, drawing the small screw off before the small blinds lightly crashed on the box.

"The armory is on the third deck, aft, near the laundry room." JJ turned over, and leaned over, giving Pope the small knife.

"Hear me, team?" JJ questioned.

"Hear ya, captain." I sharply responded while he glanced over and quickly busted into a sweet smile before he clapped his hands together.

"That's what I like to hear! Let's roll." JJ turned over to the window, placing both of his veiny hands on the top of the window before Pope cut through, "Hold up. I don't think we should all go out there. It's too risky."

"Why?" JJ stopped his movements, and we immediately glanced over at Pope who stuck the small knife in the securing pocket and slipped it into his denim pants.

"Okay, I gotta be honest, I think you should stay here." John B stated while I glanced over, watching him stretch his lips in awkwardness.

"What?" JJ questioned.

"I have Sarah that I'm gonna go after. And Pope has-" John B pointed a finger at himself before he switched it over to Pope until he said, "The cross."

"Yeah. Let's go get it." JJ still didn't budge. "Also, if you go out there, there's 100% probability that you're gonna do something stupid. Don't fight me, Maddie. You know it as well. That's why you're staying with him." John B quickly rambled, causing my jaw to drop.

"Okay, first of all, I think the correct terminology is ballasy. That is it." JJ simply explained,  shrugging his shoulders, before John B harshly grabbed his arm, and tried yanking him down.

"Okay, get down. Let us leave. Thank you very much." Pope whispered, as JJ smacked John b's hand off of his tan muscles. "Come down here." John b whispered afterward.
