Y/n POV
"Kartein could you please not-" I start but he groans a bit.
" Y/n, that core of yours is almost broken let me heal you." he whispered as I rolled my eyes relaxing a bit.
I've always liked Kartein but it felt like he didn't honestly care that much. On the bright side we had the same awakened which made me feel a little closer to him.
" I can heal myself you know.." I mumble as I look up at him and he shook his head.
" You need a little more than your own help Y/n." He says looking into my eyes.
I wish I could just flat out kiss him. He's so... Amazing and beautiful. How am I even breathing the same air as him? He makes my heart run everywhere.
I suddenly heard a knock on the door and I was about to get up but Kartein stood up instead. He opened the door and I squinted confused to see Kayden at the door.
" Hey-Oh Y/n hi." Kayden said and I gave a wave.
" Look I need your help." Kayden said looking at Kartein.
" What's the matter? Why would you come to me for something? I have nothing to do with you. " Kartein firmly stated.
" I need you to help my apprentice. His core is... Broken." Kayden said while putting his hands in his pockets.
Broken? Mine was almost broken from a really bad fight I got into. My core is going to be better soon but broken? I would have never thought that could be possible... Even on Kayden's watch.
" Fine. You owe me. Come on L/n." Kartein said while grabbing his jacket as I stood up.
" Should I help ou-" I was cut off by Kartein.
" No. Try healing yourself. It'll take a bit of time but your already healed halfway." Kartein said and I nodded at him.
I wonder what Kayden's apprentice looks like. Can't compare to the famous Kartein. He's too godlike to be topped over, though Kayden comes second.
* Time-skip to the hospital *
Y/n POV
" So this is...?" I mumble while looking at the kid with bandages around his hands.
" I'm Seo Jiwoo.." he mumbled and I smiled a little.
He's a cute kid but not like Kartein. Besides he looks so innocent, the hell did he go through? A broken core? That's insane.
" I'm L/n Y/n." I say and was lightly bumped to the side by Kartein.
" Scooch." He said waving his hand at me making me frown a little moving aside so he could get to Jiwoo.
" Can I have a moment...? With Mr. Kartein? Please Mr. Kayden and Ms. Y/n?" he asked nicely and I stared at Kartein.
" Come on. " Kayden said while lightly pulling me out the room.
" What do you think they're talking about? " I ask and Kayden shrugged.
" No clue. Knowing Jiwoo, he'll probably turn him down. I'm giving my force control up for Jiwoo to be healed. " He said making my jaw drop.
" Really!? That's kind of insane you know-" I got cut off by him shaking his head.
" I care about him. I'm willing to do it. " He says crossing his arms before the door opened.
" Are you both eavesdropping? " Kartein asked and I snorted a bit.
" Of course not." I whisper more to myself than out loud.
" Kayden take me to your place. Come along L/n." Kartein demanded while stuffing his hands in his jacket pocket.
" Fine. " Kayden murmured looking a bit annoyed.
Y/n POV
I gasped seeing so many cats as I watched Kayden feed them.
I squealed getting on my knees while playing with them all feeling happy. They all meowed while brushing themselves against me. Even one with the scar over its eye did.
I kissed all of their little heads ignoring the whole world around me.
" L/n... You like cats that much? " Kartein asked while eyeing me.
" Of course! They're sweethearts-well at least to me they are." I say while letting them go eat.
All of a sudden I see Kayden turn into a cat.
" Oh. My. Gosh." I said seeing how he was... Extremely overweight.
" COME HERE!" I squeal as I cuddle with Kayden and he laughs as I rub his belly.
" You can turn into a animal?... How is this possible." Kartein mumbled to himself even though I heard it.
I looked at Kayden as he was enjoying his belly rubs but looked over at Kartein seeing him glare into Kayden's soul.
This... Is going to be more than I expect isn't it...
