Y/n POV " I hate cats." I mumble to myself seeing one that just peed on my brand new Nike's that I just bought two days ago. I wanted to come to a park because I was doing a photoshoot for a friend, Yeah I'm a photographer. I make a pretty good living if I do say so myself, though I can't find him.
" Y/NNNNNNNN!!!" I hear a high pitched voice scream. Ah there he is, I'm doing a photoshoot for my friend Jiwoo. I follow the voice and hear multiple meows and I see a truckload of cats surrounding him while he's crying.
" C-can I take care of them?" He asks while some cats come to me. Honestly there was about 12 cats around us especially in the park. " They could have owners so no, Now can I go ahead and get the things set up?" I ask and he whines nodding. While setting up I hear footsteps that aren't so... Jiwoo sounding, but before I turn around I hear a slightly deep voice.
" You seem to not like cats very much." I quickly turn and see this guy smiling at me. He had on a striped turquoise suit on. Dude it's like a million degrees who does that? " A.. Ah.. Uhm no actually, I'm not fond of them why?" I asked setting up my camera and I hear the footsteps come closer. " Well I'm a cat lover myself so it actually hurt a bit to see someone so nice looking like you dislike something I absolutely love." He says and I almost choked on my spit. " O-oh? Nice looking?" I ask and he clears his throat blushing. " Well how else do you want me to say it? Gorgeous, beautiful, stunning?" He asks and I feel my body get hot and I turn away quickly. " Anywho um. What's your name?" I ask finishing and turning towards him as he has a harsh blush on his cheeks and ears. " Inhyuk Goo-" He cut himself off to his phone ringing. " Alright Y/n I'm rEEAAADY?! MR. INHYUK WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE!?" Jiwoo basically shouts while Inhyuk gets off the phone. " Hello Jiwoo. I have to go to work now so I'll be off." He said making me a little bit sad. " Ah well bye Inhyuk!" Jiwoo said skipping to the camera. " Oh my name is Y/n!" I shout as seeing Inhyuk walk off and he turns and waves at me and I sadly wave back. Dang it he was cute too...
* Time-skip 2 days later*
Inhyuk POV I wonder where those files are... I've looked for at least over an hour now. Y/n... That rings a bell but where is that file? " Inhyuk what are you doing snooping around in my sister's office?" I flinch and turn and see Jisuk. " The file for Y/n... Have you heard of that name?" I ask and he nods. " That's Jiyoung's best friend from school. What about her?" He asks and I clear my throat. " Well I actually ran into her a few days ago due to something about Jiwoo. I just remembered her nam-" I got cut off by Jisuk. " You like her already? Did you guys speak that much?" He asked and I blush. " What are you both doing here?" I look at at the door and see Jiyoung. " He has a crush on Y/n and wants her files." Jisuk says and I punch his arm. " Oh her files." she simply said walking to her desk and looking through a few files. After a few seconds she pulls out one handing it to me.
" Whoa she's only 2 years younger than me?" I ask myself. " Wait she's an awakened!?" I asked shockedly at Jiyoung who only nods. " She's in top 10, she appears here every blue moon. She doesn't want to train nor have anything to do with being an awakened. Only when needed for a serious operation." She spoke and I looked at Jisuk who looked dumbfounded. " But she doesn't like cats... Why?" I ask giving Jiyoung puppy dog eyes. " Her last one she had was killed by an awakened on accident. After that she had serious hatred towards being an awakened herself. She dislikes cats to get rid of her guilt of not pushing her cat out the way from getting hurt." She said while I gave her the file back.
" Damned cats always do something." Jisuk said walking out the room. " That's... Terrible. I'll get her a present." I said running out the room.
Y/n POV " Well the pictures did come out great." I say out loud and I hear a happy squeal come from my phone. " When can I see them?" Jiwoo asks echoing through the phone. " When you really want them honestly. No date just come any time. Besides you know where my spare keys are." I say putting the pictures to the side until I hear my door bell ring. " I have to go but come over anytime." I say as we exchanged a few more words and hung up while I rush to the door. I look around but see nothing but a big box. I look around one more time but I don't sense any energy that's bad coming from it. My powers basically allow me to predict I guess.
I could feel your energy from a mile away along with knowing what moves you'll use next. Back in school I called myself ' The predictor ' I could always predict what would happen in a fight. That's why I rarely lost though my friend Jiyoung outsmarted my ass and got me good. Though who would leave a box like this just here?
I leaned down and poked the box since I have nothing underneath my F/c ( Favorite color) silk robe and all I saw was the box shift. I flinched a bit and opened it and saw an adorable kitten with one brown and one blue eye. It was an all white fluffy kitten looking up at me. I felt my heart melt and I picked it up without a doubt.
" Who would leave you here?" I ask holding it to my chest hearing it purr softly. Cats have always sort of liked me so it was no big deal. I just refuse to have any cats after that incident. Same with my powers I never want to use them. I pick up the box with one hand holding the kitten with the other. I must have stupidly forgot to close the door because I went and put everything down setting the kitten down on the floor while it rubs against me meowing loudly.
" HA I WAS RIGHT!" I heard an echo instantly picking up the cat looking at who it was and he squealed. " Alright alright, don't kill me!" It was Inhyuk. " What are you even doing here?" I asked holding the now shivering kitten close to me again. " I dropped this small fluff as a test. You still love cats even after..." He trailed off and I felt myself frown looking at the kitten. " Well... I.." I started as he closed the door letting himself inside. " Look I know you don't use your power for bad. Nor actually hate cats. It wasn't your fault for anything back then. It just happened." He said making me look up at him with teary eyes. " I could have saved her but I didn't... Besides how do you know!?" I slightly shouted and he showed me his hand, wind surrounding it. " Your an awakened too? Doesn't that mean you know Jiyoung?" I asked and he nodded. " That's how I found out about you. I'm sorry for creeping you out like that and-" he cut himself off as I walked over putting my head against his chest.
Inhyuk POV I cut myself off when I felt Y/n's head on my chest. I looked down at her and she looked back up resting her chin on my chest. She slowly lifted up the cat into my face and I smiled as the cat meowed happily at me. " D... Do I get to keep..." she started and I nodded. I saw her face slowly light up with happiness, her eyes glowing and her smile getting even brighter. " THANK YOU!" she shouted hugging me and I blushingly hugged back. " Right, how shall I repay you?" She asked letting the kitten down to run. " I wouldn't mind getting coffee tomorrow." I said and she nodded smiling. After exchanging our numbers and words I was finally leaving. I was at least down the street until I heard small calls of my name and I was pulled and I turned quickly to see Y/n panting hard. " I.. I forgot to do something." She said apparently ignoring she's only in a robe. She leaned up pecking my lips quickly bowing goodbye running back while I stood in shock. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Cats... Are the most useful thing in life now..
WELLLLL this story about cats was dedicated to my cat who passed away from getting hit by a car last week. She was amazing and loveable by everyone.
