Y/n POV " Come on Jiwoo can't beat you alright?" Mr. Kayden said and I rolled my eyes. " I trained you hard enough to be able to be faster and stronger than most you can do this." Mr. Kayden also said and I sighed quietly. Dammit I can't beat Jiwoo of all people in a race so I can beat him at the academy when we go. " Hey Y/n are you sure you can beat me?" Jiwoo playfully said to me walking up to me making me roll my eyes. " Shut up already I'm trying my best alright?" I scoffed and he shrugged a bit as he kissed my temple giving me a hug. " I believe in you bubs but are you really sure I shouldn't let you win?" he whispered into my ear and I shook my head. " It has to be fair in this case Woo so just treat me how you would treat everyone else in a race. This will only show if I need to train a billion more times anyways." I state looking into his eyes seeing him sigh a bit. " But this isn't what best friends do-" I cut him off. " Yes it is I didn't let you win in a lot of things so think of this as revenge." I laugh out a bit and he scoffed playfully hitting my shoulder.
Jiwoo POV I playfully hit Y/n's shoulder knowing she would probably win by now. She's trained so much and so hard to be able to use her awakened which is similar to mine only that she has wind and speed. " Are you guys done talking yet so you both can race already?" Mr. Kayden asked and we both nodded.
We both got into our starting position since we're in an empty field and were planning to run from our starting point to a fence that's extremely far from us. I looked over at Y/n seeing her have the slightest look of doubt on her face making my heart ache. She may be my best friend and all but it doesn't mean I don't care about her.
I want her to win honestly despite her competitive side. I mean Y/n has always been my best friend who would be a rival at the same time that's why we were close. I looked at Mr. Kayden already knowing there's a chance he'll push Y/n to her limits if she loses but she hates when I let her win. Y/n would want to keep going until she wins but there's a chance I could underestimate her.
" Alright on your mark... Go" Mr. Kayden suddenly said and me and Y/n took off running. I have to balance my normal running with my awakened running. I can only use small boosts to get me to the fence but I should save up for the end. I looked to my side looking around for Y/n but she was nowhere to be seen making me confused.
Did she fall or something back there? Is she ahead of me now? Where the hell did she go? I looked in front of me and saw her already have touched the fence running back making me extremely shocked. How did she reach the fence that fast? Does she have boosts or something?
I used boosts of energy quickly touching the fence but when I looked ahead Y/n had already won. The heck happened? I didn't underestimate her.. Right?
Y/n POV " I WON!" I scream jumping happily as Jiwoo appears slightly shocked. " How did you..." he starts and I put a finger on his lips smirking playfully. " Jiwoo you have officially lost to me~ you are in a beautiful place called... Last place." I laugh out as he whines throwing a tantrum smiling. " Fine Y/n I'm proud of you anyways." He says and Mr. Kayden looks at me. " Pick whatever prize you want I guess? You'll still train but you can lay off as a reward." Mr. Kayden stated before walking off and I looked at Jiwoo with a cocky smile. " I'm going to kiss you!" I tease laughing as Jiwoo runs off screaming. . . . . . . . . . . " COME BACK HERE BUBS" " I DON'T WANT YOU TO BE MY FIRST KISS!"
