Changed Me ( Rewritten)

            Nat is walking towards the cafeteria when he's suddenly shoved to the ground harshly. Trying to stop the impact he holds out his wrist to catch himself. However it backfires and he ends up spraining his wrist badly. He groans in pain before turning around. When he does he's met with Kit. The number one person he hates. Kit, Copter and Aek constantly bully and harass him.

" What do you want Kit " he asked trying to stand back up. However Kit, kicks him hard in his chest. Making him fall back down harshly. He whimper's from the pain. " Heard you were seen hanging out with Max. You'll always be a loser No matter who you hang out with fa* " Kit says to him harshly before kicking him again. Causing him to cough up blood.

           Kit then leaves the hallway with Copter and Aek. Once he knows for sure that they are gone, he forces himself up off the ground. He wipes the blood off from his mouth before looking down at his wrist that is already becoming a dark blue and purple color. " Great this will be hard to keep hidden " he says quietly before pulling his sleeves over the bruise, hiding it. He then walks to the cafeteria, slightly wincing in pain from the kicks to his ribs.

When he enters the cafeteria he sees NuNew so he quickly goes over to him and sits down. " Hey, what took so long " NuNew asked. " Sorry. I just kinda spaced out on my way
here " he lies. He doesn't want to worry NuNew. NuNew doesn't even know about Kit and the others. He intends to keep it that way.

           " Hey NuNew " someone says so he turns to look and sees Zee sit down next to NuNew. " H-Hello Hia Zee " NuNew stutters quietly. " Little mouse " Max said loudly as he sits down next to him. " I'm not a mouse " he says. " To me you are " Max says as he wraps his arm around his shoulder. He quickly tries to get his arm off of him but it doesn't work. Max just pulls him closer whenever he struggles. So he decided to just let him do it.

           " Here Nat, I brought you some lunch since you didn't come at the start of
lunch  " NuNew says. He smiles before reaching over and grabbing the lunch, slightly wincing in pain as he does so. " Are you ok Nat " Poppy asked him. " I'm fine " he quickly says, putting on a fake smile before quickly setting the lunch down on the table. NuNew reaches over and grabs his wrist. " Ow " he cries out in pain before quickly making NuNew let go of his wrist. " Nat " NuNew asked concerned. " I'm fine " he says quickly.

           " I just hurt my wrist a bit. It'll be better within an hour " he says slightly annoyed. He pulls his sleeves down to make sure the bruise is covered. However Max grabs his arm before pulling his sleeve up. " What the hell " Max said in a serious tone. And for some reason it makes him nervous. " I-I'm fine " he says as he quickly covers his wrist back up. " Your wrist is badly bruised. You're not fine. What happened " Max asked him in a serious tone. " N-nothing I just hurt my wrist ok " he said. He feels like Max is scolding him and he hates it. Anytime someone scolds him he wants to cry. This situation is no different.

           " Tell me what happened. Now Nat " Max said, now sounding angry. He's never seen Max angry before, only making him feel worse. " I-I don't want to talk about it ". Tears threaten to fall from his eyes. " Did someone do this to you " Max asked. He quickly grabs his backpack. " I'll se you later NuNew " he says before standing up and quickly leaving. He walks out of the cafeteria and down the hall.

           He turns down a hallway when he's suddenly pulled under the stairs. " Look who we have here. Did the little f** want to come see us again " Kit says laughing before throwing him harshly on to the ground. He starts to cry.
" L-leave me alone P'Kit " he stutters quickly. Which only earns him a slap to the face.

            " Don't tell me what to do " Kit says loudly before he steps on to his wrist harshly. He immediately cries out in pain. " Stop it. Please. It hurts " he begs through his tears. However, Kit and the others only laugh at his suffering.

" What the fuck do you guys think you're doing " he hears Max shout loudly. Only then does Kit stop stepping down on his wrist harshly. He's never been more happy to hear Max's voice. " I'm playing with him. Leave us be Max " Kit says sounding angry. " You're hurting him " Max says sounding incredibly angry. Kit just turns around and harshly kicks him again. He whimper's from the pain as he coughs up blood.

He bites his lip nervously when he sees Max start to fight Kit. While they are fighting, the others start to stomp on and kick him. " What the hell " he hears someone else say before Kits friends stop hurting him. " Nat " he hears NuNew shout before feeling someone gently touch his arm. He turns to look and sees NuNew.

" Come on little mouse. Let's get you to the nurses office " Max says before helping him stand up. He grabs on to his stomach when the pain increases. " P'Max can you carry him on your back " NuNew asked. " I-I can walk " he says, which is clearly a lie. " Help put him on my back NuNew " Max says. He's then put on to Max's back. He wraps his arms around Max's neck to help him not fall.

As Max is carrying him to the nurses office, several people stare at them and give him weird looks. Which makes him feel insecure. Max must have noticed this because he says " Just ignore them little mouse ".

When they get to the nurses office, the nurse has Max set him down on the bed. When he does he bites his lip as pain surges through his body. " What happened to the both of you " the nurse asks. " You got hurt " he asked quickly as he turns to look at him. When he does, he sees that Max has a light pink bruise on his face. While blood is flowing from his nose. Making his eyes widen.

" I'm ok " Max says to him before turning towards the nurse and saying " I found my friend getting beat up by some of the football players. When I tried to stop them the captain started to fight me ". He bites his lip and looks down. If Max hadn't helped him then he wouldn't have gotten hurt. It's his fault that Max got hurt.

" Ok, let me go to the office real quick to tell the principal. I'll treat you both when I get back " the nurse says before she quickly leaves. " I'm sorry " he says as he starts to cry. He feels horrible that Max had gotten hurt because of him.

            Max just grabs on to his hand and gently squeezes it. " It's not your fault. This is all Kit's and his friends fault. So don't blame yourself " Max says in a gentle tone. " I've been nothing but a jerk to you and yet you still help me " he says not looking at Max.

" Because I want to be your friend. And I would help anyone in that situation little
mouse " Max says to him. " Why. You're popular and I'm the quiet kid. Why would you want to be friends with me " he says. " Because I find you cute little mouse " Max says right before the nurse comes back in. Which leaves him feeling flustered. He's not used to being called cute. " Alright lets get the both of you fixed up " the nurse says before she starts checking their injuries.
