Changed Me ( Rewritten)

            Max takes him to a small restaurant that has a 60's diner theme to it.  As they walk in an older women comes over to them quickly. " Max my dear. What happened to you " the older women says as she inspects the bruises on his face. " I was protecting my friend here from people beating him up " Max says as he gestures towards him. The older lady looks at him, her eyes widen.

           " Oh you poor child. What's your name dear " the women asked. " My name is Nat " he says shyly. " it's nice to meet you Nat. Follow me, I'll get you guys a booth and some
menus " the older women says as she guided them to a table in the corner. When him and Max sit down the women hands them a menu. " Thank you " they both say. The women smiles before waking off towards the kitchen.

He looks down at the menu and looks for the cheapest meal. It's fired tofu with glass noodles. So he decides to get it. " Found what you want yet mouse " Max asked him. " Yeah, I want to get the fried tofu with glass noodles " he says quietly before putting the menu down. " What for the drink ". " Just Thai tea " he says quietly.

When the women comes back Max orders for the both of them. While he just sits there patiently. When the women walks away again he says " Thank you P'Max for helping me earlier. As well as getting me some food " he says quietly as he looks down at his hands. " It's no problem mouse ".

The rest of the time they wait for the food is spent by getting to know each other more. He's learned that Max is apart of the basketball team with Zee and Poppy. Max is a big sports fan. He ends up telling Max how much he loves art. That art helps him calm down whenever he's angry, sad or upset. Max tells him that he's good at drawing. Which makes his cheeks turn a light shade of red.

" Alright boys. Here's your lunch. If you need me I'll be over by the front desk area " the old women says and they both thank her. " she seems to know you well " he says before turning to look at Max. Max just smiles before saying " She's a family friend. I've been coming here for as long as I can remember ". He nods his head before he starts to eat. Max eats his food as well.

The entire time they eat in silence. It's a peaceful silence. Once they are both done eating he scraped Max's left over food on to his plate before placing Max's plate underneath his own. He then sets it on the edge of the table. When he turns to look at Max, he is just staring at him with a big smile. His face turns a dark red. " S-sorry this is just a habit I picked up from my mother. S-she is a server " he stutters quietly. He's embarrassed by doing that in front of him.

" Why are you sorry? I think that's very nice of you to do that. It makes the servers job easier. Not everyone would do that " Max says with a smile before ruffling his hair. Which makes his heart skip a beat. Why is he effecting me this much, he thinks to himself.

Max stands up before helping him stand. They then walk over to the front desk where the lady is. " Are you finished " she asks. They both nod before Max hands her his card. " I hope to see you another time Nat. You are quite a lovely boy " the women says. We smiled shyly and says " I'll try to come here again someday ". The older women smiles big. " I'll be looking forward to it. I hope both of your guys injuries heal quick and good " the women says before they say goodbye. They then head to Max's car.

Once their seatbelts are buckled, Max asks him " Where's your address. I'll take you home ". He nods his head before putting the address into Max's phone so he can have directions. When they take off Max says " This is really close to my house. Only a block or two away. If you want I can come pick you up in the mornings ". He hesitates for a bit before saying " I-I don't want to trouble you anymore then I have already, P'Max ".

" Let me say that a different way mouse. Will you let me drive you to and from
school " Max says. Causing a dark shade of red to color both his ears and cheeks. " S-sure " he stutters shyly. Max smirks like he's won a game. And for some reason it makes his heartbeat quicken. So much so that he feels like it might beat right out of his chest.

When they arrive at his house, Max holds out his hand. He just looks at him confused. Causing Max to chuckle. " Give me your phone so I can give you my number. I need it for when I pick you up " Max says with a smirk. He bites his lip before handing his phone over to Max. Max sends himself a text through his phone. Once he's received it, Max gives him his phone back.

Max then ruffles his hair before gently caressing his cheek. A light shade of red colors his cheeks by Max's actions. " See you tomorrow little mouse " Max says in a gentle voice as he looks at him. He feels like Max is staring into his soul. And if he's honest it terrifies him. He's always kept walls up around himself. He knows that Max is going to change that. That Max will easily be able to change him.

" G-goodbye P'Max. Have a nice night and t-thank you " he stutters before grabbing his backpack and getting out of the car. He then quickly walks towards his house and inside of it. Once inside he closes the door and leans against it. His heart is pounding in his chest. Do I like Max. No that can't be possible. You used to hate him because he's so flirty. Then why does my heart, beat so quickly when he acts all sweet with me. He's having an internal battle with himself. " Let's just draw Nat. This will help clear your mind " he says to himself before he walks up in to his room.

Once inside he pulls out his sketchbook and pencil. He sits down at his desk and draws. He lets his emotions take over for his drawing. He does this for around 4 hours. Every time he'd finish a drawing it would end up being a drawing of Max. " Dammit. It's been one day and I've already fallen for him. I'm such an idiot " he says loudly before slamming his sketchbook closed.

Just as he slams shut his sketchbook, he gets a text message from an unknown number. " Hey little mouse. What time do you wake up for school usually ". It's P'Max's number so he makes a contact for him and calls it " P'Tiger ". He laughs as the name because it fits perfectly for him.
" I usually wake up around 6:30 am since school starts at 7:40 am "
" Same with me. I'll pick you up around 7:20 am tomorrow. Does that sound good "
" Yes, see you tomorrow then P'Max "
" <3 "

His eyes widen at the last text from Max. It's a heart. He doesn't know why Max would send that but it causes his cheeks to turn a dark shade of red. " Tomorrow's going to be a rough day. Since I've fallen for the most flirtatious person in my school " he says quietly before changing into pajamas. He then lays down in his bed and goes to sleep.
