Changed Me ( Rewritten)

The rest of the school day went by quickly. In algebra he worked on a worksheet that the teacher gave him. Occasionally he would ask Poppy or Zee for help on certain problems. Overall, it was pretty uneventful.

           Poppy, Zee and him were all walking towards the gym to meet with Max and NuNew. When his wrist is grabbed harshly. " Oww " he cries out in pain before looking up. " You! You little f** got us kicked off the football team " Kit shouts loudly before slamming him against the lockers, causing him to hit his head. " Do you realize what you did to me f** " Kit says before slapping him.

            " Don't touch him asshole " Zee shouts before shoving Kit away from him. Poppy is quick to grab him and pull him away. By this point, everyone has turned and started to watch them. " This is between me and that fucking f**! Stay out of it Zee " Kit shouts as he shoves Zee.

            Zee slams Kit against the locker. Similar to what Kit had done to him. " I will not stand by and watch as you try to beat the shit out of my friend " Zee says as he raises his fist, getting ready to punch Kit. Not wanting Zee to get into trouble, he quickly grabs ahold oh Zee's arm with his shaking hands.

            " P'Zee, l-lets just go. Please " he says quietly. " You're lucky that Nat stopped me Kit. Next time, I won't stop " Zee says before shoving Kit one last time. " Let's get you to Max " Zee says, wrapping his arm around his back, protectively. Zee stands on one side of him while Poppy stands on his other side, the entire time they walk to the gym.

           When they get to the gym Max and NuNew are there already. " Max. Come here " Zee shouts all of the sudden. It makes him flinch a little bit. Max comes over to them quickly. Poppy just gently pushes him towards Max. " Kit " is all Zee has to say for Max to pull him into a hug. And as soon as he does he begins to cry.

           " It's ok. I'm here now. Shhh. Don't cry mouse " Max says as he gently rubs his back.
" H-he grabbed my wrist and he s-slapped me. I was scared " he stutters through his tears. He can feel Max tense up. " I swear I'm going to beat the son of a bitch up " Max says angrily. He just tightens his arms around Max. " Please don't. I don't want any more violence. Please P'Max. He'll hurt you " he says quietly.

           He can feel Max relax before he pulls away from the hug. Max looks down at him and wipes away the dry tears from his cheeks. " Only because you asked little mouse. But if I find him hurting you again. I can't promise I won't. He's hurt you to many times " Max says. He just bites his lip. " Team go get changed quickly " a teacher says. Max looks at him apologetically before looking at NuNew. " Watch him for me " Max asked NuNew. Who nods his head before grabbing his arm. " Let's go sit down over here " NuNew points to the bleachers behind the chair. They sit on the second level of the bleachers.

           Shortly after the basketball team goes into the locker they come back out. They're all dressed in a dark red and black uniform. When he spots Max he smiles. He thinks that Max looks good in his uniform. Red and black are definitely colors that he looks good in. " You're staring at him to hard " NuNew whispers while laughing. Which snaps him out of his thoughts as he starts blushing. " I-I was just admiring the uniform " he stutters embarrassed. Only making NuNew laugh harder. " What about you then huh. You always stare at P'Zee ". This time it's his turn to laugh as NuNew becomes embarrassed.

           " Hey are you ok by the way " NuNew asked him. " I was shaken up but I'm not anymore. It was scary. You should have seen how angry P'Zee got. P'Zee shoved P'Kit against the lockers hard. He would have punched him if I hadn't stopped him " he says. " I'm glad that he helped you. That they all helped you " NuNew says. He smiles. " Yeah me to " he says before turning to look back at Max. Who is now practicing on one side of the gym. While the other team practices on the other side of the gym.

           " Nat do you know anything about Basketball " NuNew asked him. He turns to look at him while saying " I was kind of hoping that you would know how basketball works ". Causing the both of them to laugh. " Well then, let's just keep track of the score " NuNew says right before a loud buzzer sound was made, signifying the start of the game. So both him and NuNew turn to watch the game.

           The entire first half was neck and neck. Every time their team would score so would the other team. They are currently in the lead by 3 points. It's a very intense game and it was only the first half. So when he sees Max and the rest of the team make their way to the chairs sweating. He isn't shocked. What shocks him is that when him and Max make eye contact, Max winks at him. Causing him to start blushing.

           From where him and NuNew are sitting, they can hear the coach giving each player instructions. The coach has decided for their team to play a stronger defense game so that the other team can't score as much. Max and Zee are going to be two of the three people chosen to make the basketball go into their hoop.

           When the buzzer sound happens again, it's time for the second half of the game to start. Both him and NuNew are sitting on the edge of their seats. Half way through the last half the other team has the upper hand. Making both him and NuNew nervous. They grab each other's hand tightly. When the timer gets down to three seconds the team is two points more then their team. However when Max throws the basketball at the last second it makes it in. Giving them three more points. Meaning that their team won the game by only one point.

           Him, NuNew and everyone else from their school jump up and scream in victory. He feels so happy that Max has one the game. He is also proud of Max for wining the game for their team. He watches with a smile as all of Max's team and coach surround him happy that they won.

           When the basketball team separated him and Max make eye contact. He smiles as Max quickly makes his way over to him. He steps off of the bleachers and on to the gym floor. When Max gets to him he lifts him in the air a little bit. Which causes him to start blushing a shade of dark red.

            He laughs before excitingly saying " You did it! You did an amazing job ". Max smiles before pulling him into a hug, still holding him off of the ground. " I wouldn't be able to do it if it weren't for your support little mouse " Max says before setting him down.

           " You were so cool Max. You scored at the last second " says Poppy as he walks over to him and Max. Zee and NuNew are right behind Poppy. " It's definitely time to party tonight " Zee says. " What time is the party at " NuNew asked. " 9:00 pm. It's at Max's house. He'll text Nat the address " Poppy says with a smirk. " Awesome. We're going to head to Nat's house to get ready since it's 7:00 pm already " NuNew says before quickly pulling him away. " Let's get ready for your first high school party " NuNew says smirking as they head towards his house.
