Daryls p.o.v
I watched Sam's truck ahead of mine, she was driving a little recklessly but I couldn't blame her she mad. I rubbed my hand over my face wincing at the pain it caused me .my bruised face wasn't about to settle Sam anytime soon.
"Are you gonna be as much work as your mama?" I asked izzy who was away in her own world.
Who was I kidding? This little girl was gonna be a spit of us both b I was determined to raise her right. She weren't gonna have the upbringing I had, I wanna make sure she got all she need. The same for her Mama.
"Took your time." Sam said as I jumped out my truck.
"I got Izzy with me I ain't gonna drive like you."
"Sorry."
"You gotta calm down." I sighed unbuckling Izzy.
"I'm just fed up."
"What's done is done."
"When did you get so level headed?"
"I gotta protect her, I can't go loosing my shit anymore. Neither can you."
"Make me feel bad why don't you."
"No, you were protecting someone you loved. But don't do it again, cause if he'd of touched you I wouldn't of stopped myself." I mumbled taking Isabelle in my arms and locking my truck.
"She's what's important." Sam sighed running her finger on izzys cheek.
"Your both important." I replied kissing her head,
"C'mon lets go inside." Sam said pulling me gently.
Something in Sam made me wanna do better, made me want to be something rather than just another Dixon. I set Isabelle down in her crib as she was getting pretty cranky and wondered out into the living area seeing Sam leaning over the kitchen counter.
"Sam?" I asked wondering behind her.
She didn't reply instead she wrapped her arms around me tightly, i unintentionally started to run my fingers through her hair helping to calm her. I knew how she was feeling but I didn't know how to fix it.
"I don't wanna do this anymore."
"Do what?"
"Just surviving, your getting beat up and for what? Because people can't put there differences aside?"
"We've survived our whole life baby."
