Aloria had yet to drink the potion or read the book, it's been a few days since she's had them. She's told Yoko and the others that Wednesday's mom had found the book for them, and they pushed her to read it. But after refusing multiple times they backed off. Aloria was thankful for that. She just didn't know what she wanted. Of course she wanted her voice back, but the thought of actually having it terrified her. Even if her father thinks she would be fine and lifts the curse, what if she isn't? What if she hurts her friends? She didn't know what to do.
But right now she watched Wednesday hold a seance in order to commune with an ancestor named Goody. It was all a part of Enid's plan to celebrate Wednesday's birthday. Aloria keeps an eye on the goth girl to make sure she doesn't catch onto to anything, all while Enid gets everything ready.
All of a sudden the door opened, sending a gust of wind through the room and blowing out all the candles. Wednesday looked over her shoulder and Aloria squealed as she hid her face in her giant shark squishmallow.
But then Enid walked in and Wednesday looked away with a sigh. "Sorry," the werewolf apologized making Aloria look back up. "I didn't mean to interrupt your . . . " Wednesday stood up to face her, "uh, do I even want to know?"
Wednesday stepped towards her out of her circle. "I was reaching into the black maw of death to contact a relative." She stood by Enid's side as they looked at the circle together.
"Feels very on brand for you," Enid smiled at her and Aloria nodded in agreement. "You have a relative named Goody?"
"She was one of the original outcasts. Been attempting to summon her, but she seems to be ignoring my entreaties."
"Oh," Enid gasped with an idea, "you thought about using one of my scented candles? The aroma of steak tartare is to die for." Before Wednesday could respond a piece of paper was slid under the door. The plan has begun. Wednesday walked over to it. "Maybe Goody answered you after all."
Wednesday picked up the paper and turned to them. "I doubt she communicates in magazine cutouts." She looked down at the paper, reading it.
"What's it say?" Enid asks like she didn't already know as Aloria stood up to join them.
"Someone says they have answers. To meet them at Crackstone's crypt at midnight. Looks like I'll be sneaking out again." She walked over to her desk and set the paper down.
Aloria raised her hand and smiled, trying to say she wanted to go with her. Wednesday raised an eyebrow as she started to clean up the seance circle in the middle of room.
"You want to come?" Aloria nodded making Wednesday sigh. If it was anyone else she'd say no. But the thought of doing something with Aloria is always excited. It was why she would always invite her to go places, be it for investigating or leisure. Wednesday was slowly beginning to accept her feelings for the two girls in front of her (a lot of which was thanks to Thing), but that didn't mean she ever planned to act on them. "Very well, if you want to." Aloria did a little happy dance which made Wednesday heart stop for a second.
"Oh, then I'll come to," Enid jumped in. "It can be a roomie outing!"
"You can both do what you want. I can't stop you."
"Great, it's a date," Enid shot Wednesday a wink.
The goth girl froze for second as she stared at the werewolf. She was fighting a blush from spreading across her voice. Luckily, she won and went back to cleaning. "With all three of us?"
"Yup, you can't get better than that." Aloria nodded in agreement.
The conversation died there as Wednesday chose not to respond. The girlfriends took that as a good sign seeing that Wednesday often struggled expressing positive emotions, not negative ones.
