When Wednesday returned to the dorm she was in a small state of panic. Aloria and Enid stood up from Enid's bed where they had been watching YouTube as Wednesday began to pace back and forth in the middle of the room.
"Wednesday, what's wrong?" Aloria asked.
"Was it Tyler?" Enid questioned. "Did he say something? Oh my god," she covered her mouth with her hands, "did you kill him?" She sighed. "That's okay, we can help you hide the body. Unless you've already done that. Have you already done that? 'Cause if you have—"
"Enid!" Wednesday shouted as she stopped pacing to get the werewolf to stop rambling. "I'm not the killer in this scenario, he is."
Aloria's eyebrows furrowed in confusion. "What do you mean?"
"Tyler is the real Hyde. Not Xavier. I was wrong. He fooled me."
Aloria stepped back and sat back down on the edge of the bed with widened eyes. "Holy shit."
"So what happens now?" Enid asked.
Wednesday turned away with crossed arms. "I don't know, but I'll think of something by tomorrow. I won't let him go free. Not after what he did."
"To Eugene?" Aloria said softly.
The goth girl gave a single nod. "And to everyone else." She would not let him get away with it.
Wednesday spent the night brainstorming an idea while cuddled in between her two girlfriends on Aloria's bed. After a while she got her idea, but she would need the Nightshades help. She would have to talk to Bianca in the morning. She could talk to Aloria, but she didn't want the siren involved in what she had planned. So she closed her eyes and went to sleep feeling warm wrapped in Enid's and Aloria's arms. She wouldn't put either of her girlfriends in danger again. Her and the other Nightshades could handle it.
That next morning Wednesday intercepted Bianca at breakfast and told her what happened and what she needed. She made the siren promise not to tell Aloria (or Enid) and she reluctantly agreed.
Bianca didn't like keeping secrets from her best friend, but she also wanted to protect Aloria. It made her happy that that was at the front of Wednesday's mind, not that she told her that.
As the day progressed, Aloria knew Wednesday was planning something that she wasn't sharing. But as much as Aloria wanted to know, she also knew she could trust her. If Wednesday was keeping it a secret she probably had a good reason. That didn't mean it wasn't hard to push to find out answers. But luckily a distraction came her way.
In the middle of a class she didn't share with anyone, she noticed an orange butterfly outside the window, waiting. She smiled. She raised her hand and waited to be called on and then asked to go to the bathroom. She took her backpack with her under the guise of it being her time of the month which made her male teacher uncomfortable enough to let it happen. It's so stupid that men even get uncomfortable about that kind of stuff, but at least she could work it in her favor.
She immediately ran to the front of the school where her mom met her. "What's up, mom?" Aloria asked as Elena fluttered in front of her.
Elena began to fly away and the siren took that as her cue to follow. They went into the woods and after a while she saw a familiar man in the distance.
"Dad!" She ran ahead and tackled him into a hug which he happily returned.
"Hey, kiddo," he grinned as he rubbed her back.
After a moment she pulled away. "So why'd you have mom bring here?"
"Because you're about to have your first lesson in all things magic." Joseph brought his hands together and green energy surrounded them.
