Sunghoon glared at the night sky as he sat through his final class of the evening, wordlessly rolling around his pen because he had way too much on his mind.
He was thinking mostly about Jaeyun; but the more he thought about it, the Ball was still about Jaeyun, so he was actually fully thinking about his younger soulmate as he glared daggers at the window.
"You look stupid," The raven directed his glare towards his deskmate, stopping his pen rolling as he did so, harshly placing it down on the desk.
"I don't remember asking for your opinion, Wonyoung," he gritted out, "I will look stupid if I want to look stupid."
The female only raised an eyebrow at him, rolling her eyes as the male went back to glaring at the window as if it had just picked a fight with him.
"Are you going to tell me what's up with you?" she pestered, leaning back into her chair as she watched the raven finally let his shoulders go lax and turn towards her.
"Just thinking about the Ball."
Wonyoung stares at him for a second before her eyes shot open wide in realization, "You hate organizing the Winter Ball, don't tell me you scored a date for it. Oh my, no way you actually asked someone out, I didn't even know you liked anyone."
Sunghoon held his head in his hands, groaning to himself because what the hell has he done? He basically just told the biggest loudmouth in the whole Academy how he has a date for the dance that he is supposed to hate.
"Who is it, c'mon," she teased, poking Sunghoon's arm repeatedly, "you never keep secrets from me, I am basically your only friend."
"No," he said firmly, shaking his head the more Wonyoung tried to squeeze some sort of clue out of him.
"You're no fun," the vampire finally let it go with a pout, leaving Sunghoon alone with his own thoughts the rest of the night.
"Remember I am going to pick up the student body checklist from you tonight," Wonyoung said before getting her things and leaving, grumbling when the male didn't say anything even after she had waved her hand in front of his face multiple times. He was just thinking too much.
Sunghoon entered his bedroom after a long evening of lectures, his head feeling way too heavy on his shoulders. All he wanted to do was pass out or maybe even hibernate, yet all of those plans fell through when he saw his favourite half-blood laying snug on his bed, clearly equally as exhausted as him.
The vampire allowed himself to smile for the first time today, quietly taking off his shoes and putting away his bag, not wanting to disturb the brunette softly snoring his heart out on his bed. It was funny how familiar he has grown with Jaeyun's constant presence in his room, something about the thought alone sent warm tingles through his cold body.
Sunghoon didn't waste any more time before laying down beside his soulmate, arms resting comfortably on their usual spot around Jaeyun's waist. And as if it was the most natural thing in the world, the smell of the younger's perfume and the softness of his body had Sunghoon knocked out in a matter of seconds.
He doesn't remember how long they slept, maybe one or two hours before there was a loud knock on his bedroom door. Sunghoon groaned, burying himself into Jaeyun's warmth as the banging continued at his door.
He felt the brunette shuffle under him as well, some complaints leaving his mouth as he used the blanket to cover himself up more.
The raven sighed, finally getting up in hopes of getting the loud noises to stop. In all honesty, he wasn't too weary of his actions because he was half-asleep and all he wanted to do was cuddle up back with Jaeyun and forget life came with any kind of responsibilities.
"Coming," he growled, finally opening the door to be met with no one else but Wonyoung as she smiled at him innocently. Sunghoon was about to shut the door in her face and go back to his nap when the female swiftly entered his room in the blink of an, making the raven panic because he now was fully aware of who was in the room.
Jaeyun.
Jaeyun was peacefully sleeping on his bed, content with the loud noises being gone, snuggled up to a pillow that used to be Sunghoon himself.
The raven felt his breath be caught in his throat as his eyes went back to Wonyoung, who had frozen in the middle of his room, eyes fixed on Jaeyun who was napping without a care in the world.
"Park Sunghoon," the female vampire whispered, eyes still narrowed down at the half-blood, "you are aware of the werewolf sleeping on your bed, right?"
The raven gulped, his nerves going haywire. If he could sweat, he swears he would be drenched from head to toe from worry. Wonyoung has so much power right now - she could tell the whole school that he's sleeping around with the werewolf, she could make Jaeyun and his life a walking hell and so much more. Sunghoon swears he was shaking from the anticipation of what the female could do.
"Y-Yeah," he whispered, he took a deep breath, trying to stay confident as he spoke, "he's actually a half-blood..."
Wonyoung looked back at him, her eyes ruby-red with curiosity and mischief, "Oh? Do tell me, Mr Park Sunghoon, how a half-blood has found his way into your bedchambers and you haven't ripped him up to shreds?"
The male stayed silent as he suddenly raised his guard, automatically assuming the worst when Wonyoung's eyes glowed brighter. She could easily hurt Jaeyun and that was something Sungnhoon did not want to even risk.
"He didn't do anything, stop looking at him like you're about to pounce on him," the raven warned, walking protectively towards the bed.
"You really assume the worst when it comes to me, don't you?" she pouted in mock dejection, quickly dropping the act when Sunghoon only glared at her, "Fine, but do you want to explain what's happening or will I have to ask the Head?"
He knows it was supposed to be a threat, but Sunghoon couldn't help smirking at the upper hand he has on the female when it comes to the Head's knowledge of Jaeyun and him.
"He's..." Sunghoon gestured towards the male, thanking all of his lucky stars how Jaeyun seemed to stay asleep through the whole thing, "my soulmate."
Confessing their relationship status was not what he wanted to do at the moment, but curse Wonyoung and her ability to evoke the truth and nothing but the truth from others, "He's my soulmate." he said once more, looking at the other vampire to showcase how he wasn't joking around.
The female's mouth fell open in shock, her eyes darting back to the half-blood who was still sleeping soundly in his bed.
"What the fuck have you gotten yourself into?" she chuckled lightly, looking at the sleeping male, this time much closer than Sunghoon would've liked, "He is very cute, however; I saw him try to clap for us at the soccer match, so I guess he's fine."
"I didn't ask for your permission," the raven glared, but felt internally overjoyed how Wonyoung wasn't making a huge deal out of all of this, "please, just, don't do anything that would put him in danger."
The female snapped back to him, a genuine pout on her face, "I thought we were friends, Park Sunghoon, why are you acting as if I'm going to set your world on fire?"
The raven didn't reply, simply asking again about keeping Jaeyun safe, which the other vampire promised, offering Sunghoon a small shoulder pat before she got her needed documents and left the room, a heavy weight settling on the raven's shoulders once again. He knows Wonyoung is a sweetheart, he knows that the girl wouldn't just tell every possible passerby that she found a werewolf in Sunghoon's bed, but that didn't stop him from worrying.
He exhaled heavily, locking his door as he went back to the bed, sitting down on it with sagged shoulders as he observed Jaeyun's relaxed face, cheek cutely squished into the pillow. He raised a hand to gently caress the brunette's soft skin, heart relaxing the slightest bit when the brunette cuddled into his hand.
Sunghoon settled himself back onto the bed, engulfing the younger into a big hug, leaving small kisses on his forehead in hopes of easing his own stress.
Jaeyun snuggled closer as well, allowing the vampire to relax more and close his eyes, hoping that sleep takes over as fast as it could so he wouldn't have to worry about what had just happened.
