Jaeyun fiddled with his fingers as he waited for Jaehyuk to get ready the next morning.
They had woken up at around 10 to the sound of the main alarm going off, the Head's voice booming loudly through the whole Academy: "Good morning, students! Please make your way towards the auditorium. Thank you."
It was blunt with no indication of what it was about, but Jaeyun knew everyone was aware of what the speech was about. Him. About him and Sunghoon and everything that went down the night after.
"You ready?" The half-blood was startled, but raised his head and nodded anyway towards his roommate.
"I don't think I will ever be ready for this," he answered honestly, taking Jaehyuk's hand as he helped him stand up," I am so scared, I don't even know what to expect. If we are getting expelled, this is one hell of an exit, in front of the whole school."
"I don't think you're getting expelled or anything like that," Jaehyuk tried to comfort him, "the Head was supportive, right? Maybe this is just going to be one big warning."
"They'll all hate me," the brunette mumbled, following Jaehyuk at a very slow pace, dreading everything, "I think you're going to have to get a new roommate because there is no way I'm not getting kicked or killed."
"You're overreacting," Jaehyuk dismissed, guiding the two out of their room, "I'll be right here, okay?"
Jaeyun nodded and the two made their way towards the auditorium, his gut churning with every glance people threw at him.
The walk was stifling to the point all he wanted to do was hide behind Jaehyuk and disappear forever.
Thankfully, no one said anything or tried to confront him, but that still didn't help his hurting heart when people glared or snarled at him. He wishes he hadn't started to acquire super-hearing because all he heard were the harsh words of other werewolves.
Jaeyun and Jaehyuk entered the wide auditorium from the werewolf side, the whole place bustling with loud noise and movement. Mostly complaints.
"Everyone, please sit down," the Head tried silencing them from the auditorium stage, having no luck with either side. Jaeyun glanced towards the vampire side, heart hammering against his ribcage as he observed their behaviour.
They were seated with a scowl on their face, arguing with werewolves over the wall and hissing out curse words whenever given the chance.
In the midst of the crowd, Jaeyun's eyes locked in with another vampire - Wonyoung. The brunette gulped as the girl seemed to recognise him. He was expecting a harsh glare, but the vampire only smiled sweetly at him and raised a hand to wave at him.
Jaeyun (and most of the people around Wonyoung) gawked at her, nervously raising his hand as well and waving back, which really didn't sit well with everyone else.
"Oh, come on, Jaeyun!" a student yelled from the further end of the stadium, "if you like those blood-suckers so much, why not go over there?!"
Jaeyun flinched away, wishing that the floor would swallow him alive. What did he do ?! He waved at a vampire, how was that a crime?
"Man, shut up!" Jaehyuk growled out, turning towards the group of giggling students who seemed to target Jaeyun as their prey.
"Oh?" the same student teased, earning a set of "oohs" from his pose, "big bad Jaehyuk is also a blood sponge enjoyer? Colour me impressed."
"Watch your mouth, Lee," Yujin stood up, glaring at the werewolf with her eyes bright green, "you're a little too bold for a wolf that can't even pass a class without having Mommy buy your way out of it."
