Sleep.

That was the one thing I wanted right now. My eyelids were fighting for dear life to stay open, and my head would fall back on its own, waking my body up again before I dozed off.

This is so boring.

Han punched me lightly in the shoulder to keep me awake.

"Dumbass, you need to stay awake. Get more hours in tonight." he whispered whilst still keeping his eyes on the teacher, even though I knew damn well we both weren't paying attention.

"This boring lesson is gonna lull me to sleep unless I get the fuck out of here." I groaned through my teeth.

"Sadly, I have to end a bit earlier today. Your homework is due in two days, so I expect you get it done. Now, get out of my classroom." the teacher shooed us like mosquitos while erasing the board.

And just like that, all the students grabbed their bags in a split second and flew out the door.

Han and I were the only ones left, taking our time swinging our backpacks over our shoulders.

"What kept you up this time, Yejun?" he asked me curiously while he packed up his belongings.

"A job application, actually." I answered him, knowing that my response was a lot better than a few previous ones.

Yesterday, I got wasted at a club downtown with my friends and had a brutal headache from the hangover.

He stared at me with widened eyes.

"Yejun? Getting a job? That's not something you hear every day." he scoffed and we left the class together.

"Shut up. I'm productive when I want to be. I went to that Aphrodite club a couple nights ago with Somi, and apparently they were hiring. It seemed like a fun job." I shrugged as we walked down the halls and exited the school, heading towards the dorms.

Han's giddy smile dropped when he heard me, cocking a brow.

"Of course. If you were getting a job, I knew damn well you wouldn't be working as a babysitter or something." he scoffed.

"It seems really fun! Plus, the hours are actually doable. I don't want to be stuck in work 24/7 with no free time to do anything." I defended.

"Fair point." he finally agreed, and we walked into the dormitories together. A woman came up to us and stopped us before we walked any further.

"Ah, excuse me. Yejun and Han, I needed to talk to you so you walked in at the perfect time." she clasped her hands together.

Han and I looked at each other, unaware if we did anything wrong. But based off of her calm attitude, I'm sure it's nothing bad.
