The group had finished their day at the mall, and my legs were beaten. One more step and I will be in a wheelchair.
We regrouped back at the RV, and Chan was driving us back. The vehicle was filled with noise. Some people were looking through their purchases, and others were finishing up the leftover Chick-fil-a we picked up at the mall.
Hyunjin ended up buying the top for me, since he insisted. I tried to tell him it was okay but he bought it anyway. I'm not complaining though because the top was really cute.
I wanted to buy the leather jacket he wanted but it was far too expensive. Unfortunately, I work one part time job that barely gets me anywhere.
I was sharing a box of nuggets with Somi and we both sipped from a huge styrofoam cup of lemonade. I started to think about how much fun I had on the trip so far. It was like a nice breath of fresh air, Jeju air specifically. And I really needed it. I don't think I'll be able to leave.
Another treasured factor of this trip was the new friends I made. I was able to invite Yunjin along with us, and I met Hyunjin's best friend Felix and got to know Minho. It feels like just yesterday that we were packing up to leave at Chan's house. And now it's all about to come to an end.
We'll all have to go back to our personal lives, our jobs, uni, and who knows when we'll have free time to even see each other altogether again.
And most importantly, my relationship with Hyunjin won't be the same. And it might never be the same ever again.
"Look at this pair of sunglasses I bought from Burberry." Somi carefully pulled them out of a little plastic bag, careful not to get chicken nugget grease on the expensive accessory.
To be completely honest, they didn't look great. But I can only imagine how expensive they were. They were yellow, which just isn't my color but I'm sure they would look great on Somi. She can pull off anything.
"They look great." I lied, smiling faintly.
"Please, I know you hate them." she scoffed. "I don't care though. I love them." she tossed her hair back and slid them onto her face.
"What do you think?" she turned towards me and posed, pouting her lips, waiting for my approval.
"You know what, you make them look a lot better. I like them on you, Somi." I gave her a thumbs up and she clapped excitedly.
"YES! I knew they were a steal." she celebrated, taking a big sip of our lemonade. I chuckled.
I scanned around the room to look for Han, but he was nowhere in sight. Where could he have gone?
