Daddy Issues - The Neighborhood

Somi and I were relaxing in each other's embrace, both on our phones before the hotel telephone blared.

"One second." she muttered, getting up from the bed and lifting my head off her chest as gently as possible so she could pick up the call.

"Hello?" she spoke into the phone and I watched her attentively, eager to know what the phone call was about.

"Oh, really?" her brows flew up. I could hear the faint speaking from the other end of the line, but it wasn't clear enough to be understood.

"Of course, we'll be there. It's for everyone in the hotel?" she smiled as if they could see her.

"Awesome. Thank you." she ended.

"So? Who called?" I tilted my head.

"The villa is apparently throwing some huge party on a cruise to celebrate their 10 year anniversary." she informed me. "They're inviting all the stayers."

"Sounds fun. When is it?" I asked.

"Tonight at 9PM. The cruise will be parked at the pier on the other side of the island, so we'll have to leave at around 8:30."

"Okay. I'm gonna head back now and let Hyunjin know. I guess you can tell the others." I smiled, getting up from the bed and stretching my arms out.

"See you later, Yejun. And have fun with Hyunjin." she smirked.

"Oh, shut up." I pursed my lips to repress a smile.

Without greeting Hyunjin, I barged into the villa.

"There's a party tonight at 9PM and we're going."

"Uh, okay?" he laughed. "Also, are you and Somi okay after...everything?" he followed me as I went to the bathroom.

"Yeah, everything's fine." I answered dryly.

"Good." he nodded.

I was about to lift my swimsuit over my head, but Hyunjin was still looking.

"Um, hello? I need to change." I hinted.

"Shit, sorry." he coughed, turning the other way as I slid the door closed.

I slipped off my bathing suit and slid on a slim black dress that perfectly hugged my hips, splaying a fair view of my curves. The neckline hung low enough to see a little of my cleavage, nothing covering my back.

My hair was tangled from not brushing it after coming out of the pool, so I tied it into a high bun and pulled out two strands of hair to frame my face. It looked a little messy, but I didn't mind.

I coated my lips with a little bit of lip gloss, applied mascara to my lashes, which was my final step.

I stepped out of the bathroom with the clothes I changed out of in hand, catching a glimpse of Hyunjin's widened eyes.
