HEAVEN AND BACK - Chase Atlantic
Hyunjin and I had almost spent the entire night feeling each others' lips, but I never got tired because of this unfamiliar rush of adrenaline coursing through my body.
Once we had calmed down a little, we sat next to each other and proceeded to stare into one another's eyes, feeling no need to break eye contact.
Hyunjin was...by far the most beautiful being beheld to the human eye. Sometimes, it still amazes me how I could be this close to someone so ethereal.
"You're prettier at night." he brushed away a stray hair that was blocking my forehead.
"Are you implying that I'm uglier during the day?" I gasped dramatically, placing a hand over my chest but breaking character soon after.
He laughed with me, pulling the covers over him.
"No, you're pretty all the time. No matter what time of day it is." his tone lowered. "And I want to apologize again."
"For what?"
"For being so...fucking annoying sometimes." he laughed through his nose, which earned a laugh from me.
"Hey, we love a self-aware king." I joked.
"I'm kidding." I added. "It's okay, Hyunjin. I forgive you, but let's try and take things slower, yeah?"
He nodded in response, a grin creeping onto his face.
"You're so cute." he giggled, pecking my nose. I shrunk back, but I was now smiling uncontrollably. The power he has over me.
"You like that?" he smiled even wider.
I nodded quickly, causing him to do it again and I felt like I was going to explode. That rush of adrenaline was moving even faster now, and I'm not sure if I'll be able to sleep tonight.
"You have so much power over me, it's driving me insane." I slowly admitted.
"Really? I thought of it as the other way around." he replied.
"What?" my eyes widened in disbelief. "There's no way. If anything, I've been completely submissive this entire time."
"This is gonna sound confusing, but I personally think people can be submissive but still...powerful." he explained.
"As much as I wanna understand what you're saying, that doesn't make sense." I laughed.
"Okay, well, I like being the dominant one. You can probably see that by now." he spoke carefully, and I nodded.
"The more submissive someone is, the more dominant the other person feels. And I'll tell you this, it feels amazing. It's like...you giving me power makes you the powerful one. Does that make sense?"
