Rollercoaster - Bleachers
Once we all cleaned up our plates, Somi paid the bill and we headed back to the villas to get our stuff together.
We loaded all the baggage into the RV, all of us changed into our swimsuits except for Han and Minho.
"You're not gonna swim?" I questioned Han as I dusted my hands off.
"I feel like shit right now. And it's all his fault." he pointed to Minho, in which he happened to notice.
"Aw, come on. You love me." he chuckled, extending his arm around Han's shoulder and kissing his neck.
"Unfortunately, I do." Han gave in. They were so cute, I was gonna evaporate. Or incinerate. Or both.
"Alright, who's ready to go?" Chan yelled from the driver's seat, poking his head out the rolled down window. He sounded exactly like a father figure, it almost made me laugh.
We all got into the RV, sitting comfortably in position as Chan revved up the engine and drove off towards the horizon.
"I wanted to leave just in time so that we could catch the sunset." Somi checked the watch on her wrist. "We'll make it."
I loved the sunset. In fact, I loved the beach in general. There was something about listening to the waves lapping crash against the shore, smelling the salty air and curling my toes into the soft sand that brought me peace. I liked being away from the city. Away from the noise pollution, the air pollution, and breathing in fresh air for awhile until you're ready to go back home.
I, however, wasn't ready to go home but I knew I had to accept it at some point. Spring break can't last forever.
The beach wasn't too far of a drive, thank God, because the heater in the RV was broken and I was freezing cold in my bathing suit. But, I almost forgot that I could actually publicly be close to Hyunjin, in a non-platonic way.
I scooted closer to him, securing his figure in my arms and snuggling myself as close as possible into him to gain some body heat. And it worked.
I rested my head on his shoulder, and his head fell right on top of mine.
"You're cold?" he asked me, his voice sweet and warm like honey. He could almost insulate my body just by talking.
"Mhmm." I hummed into his shoulder, becoming accustomed to the comfort he brought me. I liked having a boyfriend who you could get up close with, rest your head on their shoulder and listen to them talk to save yourself from the cold.
He stretched his arm over to the counter to grab his crewneck which he took off earlier, and laid it over my body. It smelled really good, just like him. Kind of like a mix of vanilla and coffee. I'm not supposed to like the smell of black coffee, but it was okay because it was him.
