MARIS POV

As Gavin and I exited the warehouse I clung onto his good arm as if my life depended on it, though it didn't.

James was probably dead from the shot Gavin gave him, but we decided not to stay to make sure if he was or wasn't.

I was an emotional disaster, I could not stop trembling and could not stop crying . Why had I been in relationship with James in the first place ?

Oh I remember it was because he knew that my parents had kicked me out, dishonored me, and humiliated me in front of national Television by kicking me out of the house when there had been paparazzi outside !

I will never forgive them for what they did! Especially my brother Kade for not defending his only other sibling.

"Mari calm down, distress isn't a good look on you, but then again only a smile looks good on you ."

"Excuse me Gavin was that supposed to be a compliment? "

He shrugged and kept his eyes on the road. I knew the car that we were driving was neither his or mine , so who was it's then ?

" Gavin who's car is this ?", I asked very confused.

"Oh it's my baby sister's car she was staying in my apartment while I was in the hospital."

" Good to know and thank you so much for saving me I would have had to marry James in Las Vegas," I said as I look down at my lap in disappointment .

Gavin lifted my chin up to look up at his and said," Mari don't blame yourself for his death it wasn't your fault," he then kissed my forehead.

"Why had James not told me that he was a gangster????? I trusted him, I even told him how my parents kicked me out..."

" Wait your parents kicked you out of your house? Why? What the fuck is wrong with them you're their child for gods sake ?"

"Yes they kicked out but they did it because I didn't want to be an actor/director like they are, and they dishonored me, humiliated me, and my older brother didn't to anything to defend me. He just stood there looking at me like I was an alien for not choosing the same path as they did," I finished saying sobbing into my lap.

I felt Gavin's hand pat my back," It's alright Mari everything will be just fine, if you want you can stay over at my apartment till you are emotional stable," Gavin said as I finally noticed that we were back at our apartment building.

I shake my head, open the door , and walk away why had I told him, he's no one but a guy who saved me.

I wondered if my family missed me or if they continued to live the fake perfect life that they always had. Kade, what had happened to him? Was he still the coward who did whatever his parents told him? I walked up to my apartment and shoved my door open.

Everything was a mess and I was not happy about it but I was to exhausted to clean so I just collapsed onto my couch and grabbed the pillow to sleep on.

I have finals right now so I'm hella fucking stressed,

and my phone has a glitch which makes me unable to

open my Wattpad so I wrote this whole chapter on my

laptop. And finally I've had a horrible cold for the longest
