2 years Later

GAVIN' S POV

Mari and I have been going out for the last two years going from L.A. to New York City to visit Mari's old friends and occasionally meet with her family, she hasn't forgiven them but she's working on it .

She also quit her job as an editor and decided to write a book and then another the first book was a huge hit but the second one wasn't as big, she was completely fine with the fact that her second book wasn't as great .

Her mom also passed away about half a year ago, and she didn't seem to be bothered or even fazed by it, but who could blame her, I wouldn't care either if my family had done the same thing .

My sister met Mari soon after we started dating and loved her, so sometimes we'll go visit . My mom at first was weary that I was dating Mari but soon she warmed up to Mari and is consistently asking when she will have grandbabies .

I love Mari so much and I had wanted to propose to her but I thought it been to early but today on our two year anniversary, I will do it and I will make it just right not prefect because Mari doesnt believe in prefect.

She is currently getting ready for the date that I told her we'd be going on . I organized something special for the proposal , I just hope she says yes . Even if she says no I will be content with having just given it a go .

I hear the door to the bathroom click open and Mari walks out, my god she's so beautiful. She has just gotten more beautiful over the years.

MARI'S POV

As I open the door Gavin has a great big smile and we head out of the apartment and head to the beach for our date.

GAVIN'S POV
As soon as we got to the beach she ran to the edge of the water and sunk her feet into the wet sand.

Then she turned to me , saw the sign behind me being held up by a couple of my friends that said 'marry me?' I got down on one knee, opened the box that held a white gold ring with a diamond on it and said," Mari Anne Peterson would you do me the the honour of marrying me?"

At first I thought that she wasnt going to say no because she stayed quiet and was scared but then she launched herself onto me and said, " I'd love to..."
