Always Happens To Me

chaper 9 part 2

"Well Mari I was born in New York to and I know how to cook really well!"

"Well the maids at my parents house always cooked, and the things I know how to cook I've learned this half year with my parents!"

He chuckled and then said," well thats nice, and by the way I'm leaving today at three so we only have five more hours with each other."

I totally forgot that he's leaving today. I'm going to miss him, but he has to work.

"Ok then Josh how about we go shopping or something and then come back here then I'll drive you to the airport!"

He agrees and then I grab the keys to the apartment and we leave to go shopping.

We decide to go to the Beverly Center Shopping Mall. (A/N its actually a mall in Los Angeles ;)

We only spend two hpurs there, and he buys only a new watch while I buy three new pencil skirts, three blouses, and two new pairs of heels.

I let Josh drive my car so that he doesn't freak out about my driving.

Once!he parks my car in the apartment's parking lot he helps me carrt the bags. I open the door to my apartment and everything is destroyed!

The whole apartment is a mess and everything is all over the place. The dishes and cups are all broken on the kitchen floor!

I head to my room and it's not destroyed but on my bed there lay a piece of paper, I picked it up and it read:

Dear Mari Anne Petersen,

I will get you and no one will stop me! You will be mine!

No one will stip me not Joshua or that bastard Gavin! And what I did is prove that no one will stop and if you call the police your work colleagues will no longer live!

And you know I will do it if you don't listen, I expect you to be waiting for me in your apartment by 8!

Oh my god, I get on my bed and pull my knees up to my chest and rock myself back and forth.

"Mari are you alright do you want me to call the police," Josh says as he comes in my room.

"No Josh please don't call the police..."

"But why not Mari this isn't safe," Josh says and I give him the piece of paper that James left for me .

He read it and I can visibly see that Josh is angry and ready to kill but instead of saying anything he gets near me and hugs me and doesn't let go .

I didn't realize that I was crying till Josh said," Shhh it's alright Mari I have to leave but I'll see if Gavin can take care of this, shhh it's ok ."

I nod my head and look over to my clock and it four thirty. Josh heads out and I'm guessing to go see Gavin but even though Gavin has helped me before I don't want him to help me...

I also notice that the note James left is gone, I'm guessing Josh took it. After a while I fall asleep but before I do I hear the door open and then," hey Mari its Gavin I'm here to help you can sleep and I'll clean this mess up!"

I mumble a thanks before falling asleep...
