Always Happens To Me

chapter 10 part 1

GAVIN'S POV

Once I came inside Mari's apartment I noticed how messy it was and then believed what Josh said about the letter.

I told Mari to go to sleep and I just heard a mumbled yes. I still can't believe that I didn't hear James when he ransacked her house.

I can't believe it that James would be such a jerk about this. I hate him so much ever since I saw what he had done to Mari the first time I met her.

I clean up the broken dishes and cups, also clean up the living room but not as clean as Mari would have left it.

I'm going to wait for James when he comes looking for Mari at eight and I will be prepared to fight that douche bag.

I still wonder why Mari even dated him, I also hate the fact that she let him hit her and that no one did anything about it.

Didn't Mari ever contact anyone for help, because now she's in great danger because of James and his threats but she doesn't want to call the police or that's what Josh told me before leaving.

MARI'S POV

I wake up, sit up, and start to remember what happened before falling asleep. I then look at the clock and notice it's 7:30 god I only have half and hour to prepare myself to see James again.

I decide to take a shower and then put on a pair of sweats, a blue t-shirt, and black fluffy socks! I love fluffy socks !

I then head over to the kitchen and notice it's all clean, Gavin did a nice good of cleaning up, I'll thank him when I see him. I then go to the living room.

Its also cleaned up and Gavin is on my couch playing on his phone and I try to see what it is he's playing ," Hello Mari like what you see!"
