Always Happens To Me

Chapter 6

MARI'S POV

I have had a boring day, I've had to edit three manuscripts and have to take another three home, yah !!

But tomorrow instead of working in the office, my boss said I could stay home.

I was so happy when my boss told me that, but I still have half an hour at work and I'm out. It's only 4:30 and I get out at 5.

Hopefully I actually have time to finish up the three manuscripts tomorrow and then have Sunday and Monday off.

I finish up my third manuscript and then head home. I wish my apartment wasn't so far away from my work.

As I head home I remember that I don't have anything to cook dinner so I decide to go to a Chinese restaurant and order  cho mein with egg rolls.

Once I've finished my dinner at home, I decide to start on one of the three manuscripts that I have to do.

Thank god the manuscript isn't very long only like 150 pages which is half of what I normally get....

Well I'm done editing the manuscript... I go downstairs to the mailroom and check my box to see if I have anything there.

When I open it I just see ads, bills, more ads, but the one that interests me is a white envelope that has Josh's name on it.

I wonder why he sent me the envelope ?

Oh well I'll open it when I get back home. I slam the box door shut and then run to my apartment.

I open the apartment door, get in, and then slam it shut.

I open the letter and it says :

Dear, Mari

Hey you must be wondering why I wrote this letter right ? Well what I'm going to tell you is something I can't tell you by phone.

I'm going to go visit you soon !!!
And by soon I mean I'll be there on Sunday.

What he'll be here by Sunday !! I have to clean up everything even if it's not that dirty. I toss the ads away and put the bills on the counter top.

Then grab my phone and put on the 5Sos radio station on Pandora.

I clean up the kitchen, then the bathroom, and finally thr living room. I don't clean up my room because it's clean already.

I turn off the music then hop into the shower and take a 20 minute shower.

Then change into a random pair of sweats and a blue t-shirt. And leave my hair down. I love how long and straight my hair is.

As I'm heading out of the bathroom, I hear someone knocking on the door. I check the clock and it's already 8:30. Dang the time goes by quickly.

I open the door and see James there. As soon as I see his face I slam the door. Then he starts banging on the door.

"Go away James I'm begging you !!"

"Now why would I leave my dear Mari. "

"Well please leave..."

I hear him laugh and then another voice speaks up, " she said leave her alone basterd. I'm tired if you disturbing my peace ok mister. Now Leave !! "

Wow Gavin is actually defending me. I then open the door a bit and see James and Gavin standing there. And if looks could kill James would be dead.

I look at Gavin and realize he's only wearing a t-shirt and his Calvin Klein boxers.

James just walks away but says," Remember I know where you work, your secret, and I also know your phone number. "

God why does he have to be like this.

"Hey Mari it's fine now bye. "

Dang Gavin's bipolar, first he's defending me next minute he's saying bye. What the fuck?

Hey sorry I haven't updated. I have been really busy and yesterday I was going to finish up the chapter but I got really sick.

But no worries I'm better now :)
