Chapter 4

The following day we were by the waters waiting for Tsireya and Aonung.

Soon they came and they had third one too I think was Rotxo. They told us to follow them.

Neteyam and Loak were the first ones to go in. Then Kiri and Tuk were next. I hesitanted before jumping in.

Quickly I followed others and saw that Kiri was so into the underwater plants and creatures. She eventually swam away from us.

First I thought I would go after her but decided against it. After all I had to get to my brothers and Tuk. When I got there Loak was pointing his hands up to say he needs oxygen.

We all swam up to breathe. When we were done we took deep breath and looked others. Tsireya did something with her hand that we didn't understand. Then they swam up to the surface too.

"You're not good divers, maybe at swinging on the trees but..." Aonung was cut off by Tsireya smacking him on the shoulder. "Everything alright?" She then asked.

"You're too fast, wait for us" Tuk whined. "Yea we don't know that fingertalk you guys do" Neteyam added.

"Don't worry I'll teach you" Tsireya spoke. "Wait, Where's Kiri?" Asked Rotxo. "Kiri?". "Don't worry shes fine" I said as they looked around. "How do you know?" Loak asked me. "Because I saw her".

We were now standing in the water that is until our waist. "To live here, you must ride," Aonung spoke as he made some noises. "These are Ilu" He added.

Soon we were all separated to learn to ride. I got Aonung. "His name is Cuan" he said as he pet the Ilu.

I climped on Cuan. "Now make the bond" He said taking the creatures queue. As I was about to make the bond I saw that Loak was thrown off of his Ilu.

Aonung laughed as I smacked him on the shoulder. He looked at me and stopped. I made the bond and took off.

Surprisingly I didn't fall off and when I got back to Aonung he was speechless. "Again" he said. "What? But I did good on my first try" I argued back. "Beginners luck, now go again" He simply said and patted the Ilu to move.

It took off almost throwing me off but I managed to keep the balance. "Again" He stated again. So I did again. Again and again and again. Until Tsireya said its enough for today.

We were eating dinner when I felt pair of eyes on me. I looked up to see mother looking at me with worry. I looked at her confused as to why she was looking at me.

Neteyam who was sitting next to me saw that she was looking at me with worry, looked over me too and gasped.
With that others looked too.

I looked up to see that I'm in the center of the attention. All had worried faces.
"What's wrong?" I asked them clearly confused. "Are you feeling alright?" Dad asked as he was coming towards me now.

"Yea why?" I asked unsure to why they were all acting like this. "It's just..." Kiri started "You're -" Loak was about to say when everything went black.
