Chapter 10

"What?" Dad asked, "Aonung?". "Yes, dad," I replied. "Ah, ma Ite!" Mom exclaimed excitedly. "Sis, you gotta tell me everything!" Kiri said, smiling. I'm happy to see atleast women of the family are happy about it.

Dad and Neteyam are another thing. They're pretty protective over me. Especially Neteyam. I get that were twins, but it wouldn't mean he has to be this protective, right?

As I'm helping mom to clean, dad wants to talk to me, "Ava, I want to talk to you privately."

"Oh, yeah, sure, dad," I notice dad talking to mom through eyes.

He led me outside the hut and turned to me. Shortly, mom followed us. "Ava, there's something we need to tell you.." dad started. "What is it?" I asked when mom and dad looked at each other, worriedly.

"Ava, when you were born, you weren't exactly like a normal child should have been," mom finally told me after a few minutes.

"How?" What? I'm confused. Mom put her hand on my shoulder. "You were born dead, you were so pale and didn't breathe, you didn't cry," Dad also put his hand on my shoulder, "Norm said it was a miracle," he said.

"And that it can affect your future, as your body has already faced death, you've been fainting a lot for the past years," He added.

"It was a gift from Eywa that you even survived," Mom looked at me lovingly, "I was born dead?" I asked mom, to which she nodded softly, tears in our eyes.

"How did I survive?" I ask. "we don't know," mom answered, "We were ready to bury you when you started crying," she had more tears in her eyes.

"I need time to process this," I whispered, taking a few steps back. "Of course, take your time," Dad said before I walked off to my secret spot. Well, not so secret spot as Aonung knows about it, too. But you get the point.

Sitting there, I thought about what mom and dad told me. I was born dead? Stuck in my thoughts, I didn't hear anybody walking up to me and sitting down until someone cleared their throat.

Looking over, I saw Aonung looking at me, "What are you doing here so late?". I sighed, answering, "Just thinking,". "Thinking about what?" He asked. "Things about life, future, about what I was told by my parents." I replied. "What did they tell you? Your parents," 

"just something about my birth, nothing that important." I smiled at him.

"If you say so, you're beautiful... you know that, right?" He asked out of blue. I looked at him once more before kissing him on his fishlips, "Ofc I know, you always say that.".

He chuckled. He then moved me, so I was lying on his chest. "What do you think the future will bring us?" He asked. "I don't know, but I surely hope I'm gonna be a mom someday and that it would only be you, me, and our little ones," I whispered softly.

"How many do you want? Kids, how many?" He asked, stroking my hair. "Two, first one should be a boy, so he could protect his little sister," I smiled.

Aonungs POV

Sitting there with her head on my chest, I couldn't wish for anybody else. She's perfect for me. Her big yellow eyes, darker blue skin, and the features she probably got from her dad.

Hearing her talk about our future together, about our kids, a boy, and a girl. "That would be perfect," I whispered while admiring her, the way her eyes sparkled while talking about something she adores, the way her lips are moving while she speaks.

"What do you think they'll look like?" I asked, smiling at how her smile grew. "Our son should be a copy of you while our daughter would be a copy of me," she answered. I couldn't help but chuckle. Gosh, she's adorable. "What? You don't think it should be like that?" She pouted. "No, no, I think it would be great, but I'd like more when it would be the opposite, I'd like to see myself in our daughter" my voice was soft, she giggled at my response.

Avyannas POV

I giggled at his response. Gosh, he's adorable. I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with him.
