I looked everywhere, and I mean everywhere, but couldn't find Aonung. Eventually, I stopped looking and sat down on a rock. It was a time of eclipse. Then suddenly I jumped as I felt a hand on my shoulder, looking up I saw Tsireya.
"Hey, Ava. I wanted to check up on you. How are you?". "Could be better," I muttered. "How so?" She sat down next to me. "Aonung probably hates me, I can't find him anywhere, and I really need to apologise to him," I looked at the sea before turning to Tsireya, "Have you seen him?".
"Can't say I haven't," she stood up, turning to me, "Try to look from the cave in the west side of the island," she left.
I thought about it for a moment before standing up and making my way there.
Each step I take, the closer I get and the more nervous I get. At the opening of the cave, I take a deep breath before entering. My heart is going crazy in my chest. The second I get closed, the more nervous I get.
Spotting him, I quietly sat next to him, "Hey,", he looked at me, then turned away. "Look, I wanted to apologise for how I reacted yesterday," I said, knowing he's listening to me.
"It doesn't matter anymore," he then mumbled, thinking I didn't hear him. "Yes, it does, I feel awful about it, and after your mother told me you loved me, I knew I had to make it right,".
"You talked to my mother?" Aonung asked, surprised. His mother? Talking to her? That's something new.
I nodded, looking at him. "Come, I have something for you," he stood up and offered his hand for me to take. I took it.
We walked to his family's mauri. He went inside, saying that he'll be right back. A few minutes later, he came back with a beautiful necklace. It was in blue and white colours, my favourite.
"It's not much, but it's something, do you like it?" He asked. I looked at the necklace, "Like it? I love it!" I move my hair so he could put the necklace on.
"It looks even more beautiful when you're wearing it," He smiled as I played with the shiny stones of the necklace.
I turned to look at him, "Thank you, it's so beautiful,". "Not as beautiful as you are," he replied, I looked at him in suprise, but then smiled. He moved closer to me. Our faces are inches apart. I couldn't wait any longer and kissed his fishlips.
As we broke the kiss, I looked into his eyes, and he into mine. Just as he was about to say something, Tuk came running to us, "Ava! You have to come!". "Come where?" I ask, following her, waving bye to Aonung.
He only smiled at the sight. Imaging how it would be if it was their kid instead. He waved her back before going to the mauri.
I followed Tuk as she wanted to show me something. In our mauri, she made me wait until she found out what she wanted to show me.
I smiled as she tried to find it, suggesting to help, but she refused, something mom would do if I suggested to help. After a while, she found it, smiling at me she showed it to me. It was her made hairpin for me.
I let her put it in my hair. Soon, it was dinner time, and mom was the first one to notice the necklace Aonung gave me. "Ava, there's something new about you, perhaps the new necklace?". When she said that noe everyone took a notice at the necklace, Loak was grinning, while dad, mom and Neteyam raised a brow, Kiri looked at the necklace, thinking if its from who she thinks it's from.
"Who is it from?" Dad asked, obviously knowing the Na'vi way of asking someone to be theirs, which Aonung did when he gave me the necklace, and a few days prior leg ring.
"Aonung," I whispered, Loak was grinning even more, and something told me he had something to do with it. Neteyam and dad looked shocked, while mom, Tuk, and Kiri were smiling from ear to ear.
