Chapter 5

Neteyam was sitting next to me as we were by the river. "I wish we could spend more time together" He spoke next to me. "Yea me too" I said as I put my head on his shoulder. "Now tell me what happened" he suddenly changed the subject.

"I don't want to say" I looked away from him. He put his hand on my chin making me look at him "Ava, you know you can tell me everything". "I know but-" I tried but "no buts" He didn't let me finish. I just stared at him and started crying. He held me close.

I woke up and saw Neteyam. I hugged him tightly. He put his hand around me. "I need to tell you something later" I whispered to him as I broke the hug.

Mom and dad came to my side "Oh Ava I was so worried" mom said hugging me. Dad came also and hugged me.

When they broke the hug I saw Ronal. She wanted to talk to mom. They left. "What had happened?" I asked as I looked at them.

They looked at me "you had lack of oxygen" Dad said quickly and said to others to go training. I was pretty sure they lied because you couldn't possibly have lack of oxygen when you're breathing it.

Later when I was checked I could go to continue to the lessons. We were doing breathing lessons with Tsireya, Rotxo and even Aonung was there.

"Breathe in and out" Tsireya spoke to us   and we did as she said. She put her hands on Loaks lower stomach "breathe  from here". "Loak your heartbeat is too fast" she said to him and I looked at Neteyam smirking.

He also looked around me then to Rotxo and Aonung smirking. Kiri rolled her eyes at us. I only laughed at her reaction.

I was sitting at a rock at night because I couldn't sleep. The stars were beautiful and light enough to see where you are going. The sea was more beautiful in the night time than at day time.

"How about we are going for a swim" Loak asked me without waiting for an answer and took off running. I ran after him.

"Come let's jump" He yelled before he jumped and I shortly after. I went to the surface and was welcomed by a splash of water in the face.

I swiped it off and saw Loak laughing his ass off. That's when the water war started.

Later when we returned we were laughing at some silly joke he said a moment ago. Dad looked at us with questioning face on. "And where have you been" He asked. "We were swimming" Loak answered him. He looked at us "I see".

"Ava your grandmother wants you" he told me nodding his head to where she was. I nodded and went to her. "Hey gran, you wanted me" I asked as I sat next to her. "Ah yes as you know you're the oldest daughter, you need to learn how to be a tsahik for youre future"

I heard footsteps coming towards me. Looking over I saw it was Aonung. "What do you want fishlips" I asked him annoyed. "I couldn't sleep then I saw something so ugly among the beauty" he answered sitting next to me but away enough so he wouldn't be sitting right next to me.

"And would that ugly thing be your face?" I asked him. He fake offended at my question. "I would've said that about you, forest girl" he answered back.

I giggled at that and turned to look at the stars. After a while I felt eyes on me as I was adoring the sky. I looked over to Aonung only to see him already looking at me.

Even though he is an ass he has beautiful eyes. "What?" I asked. He looked away "nothing". "Sure" "we should head back" He said getting up and walked away. I did the same.
