Chapter 3

I woke up to my parents arguing. I groaned from the pain grabbing their attention.

"Oh, Ava" mom said rushing to my side. Dad also came after calling others back in. "Ava you're awake" Neteyam said before rushing to my side hugging me as Tuk also hugged me.

"You alright, babygirl?" Dad asked as he saw my tired face. "Yea just tired thats all". "You're really tired after sleeping like 12 hours?" joked Neteyam chuckling.

"Believe it or not yes I am" I joked back.

It was the ceremony for the new clan leader. I watched how the new Omaticaya clan leader was born.

We walked to our ikrans. I jumped on Amadi and we took off. She was the most beautiful Ikran I've seen. She is navy and catolina blue with cosmic pink stripes.

First was dad, then mom with Tuk, I was next to Kiri and Neteyam was next to Loak after us.

I looked back at our home before it was our of eyesight with a sad expression.

We got to where dad brought us. He said it was the Metkayian clan. They're reef people and we're forest people. I don't know how dad though we would fit here.

We landed and I jumped off of Amadi. The sand felt weird under my feet. We walked more to the center dad's hands were up showing them we mean no harm.

Mom, dad and Tuk were in front as I, Neteyam, Loak and Kiri were behind them.

Two guys came over walking in front of us. Eyeing us. Loak and Neteyam did the 'I see you' hand gesture. But I didn't bring myself to do it.

I made eye contact with the taller. They went behind us and started to make fun of our tails. "Look at that, is that supposed to be a tail?" The shorter one laughed and the taller one joined him.

At the corner of my eye I saw Loak stare at something or someone. I looked where he was and saw a beautiful girl. She came to the two boys and slapped their hands. "Stop it!" She said to them. "Rotxo, Aonung!".

The boys shut their mouths. Then we heard another horn. Then two sea creatures flied over us.

A male I suppose is the chief walked towards us. "Jakesully, why have you come to us?" He asked as a woman walked up to him.

"We seek uturu" He answered. "Uturu?" The woman asked sightly raising her voice.

That's when I didn't listen anymore. I maked eye contact with the boy named Aonung because he was already looking at me.

'What' I mouthed to him.
'Nothing' he mouthed back.
'Whatever you say fish lips'

I turned my attention back when the woman I guess is the Tsahik walked around us.

She spun Kiri's queue around her hand "They're tails are thin". "They're not even true Na'vi" she continued. "Yes we are" Kiri said back.

She then came towards me and Loak. She took my hand "They have demon blood!". Gasps were heard from around us.

"Dad" I whispered to him. He went to show his hand. "Look I was a sky people once now I'm Na'vi, you can adapt, we can adapt" He explained.

Tonowari then spoke "we Metkayians are not at war, we can't let you bring your war here". "I'm done with war Okay," Dad told him "look I just want to keep my family safe".

Ronal and Tonowari talked with eyes so we won't hear but by the looks of Ronals eyes she didn't want us here. Which is understandable as I don't want to be here either.

"That's decided! Toruk Mackto and his family will stay here. We're gonna treat them like brothers and sisters! As they don't know our ways, we're going to teach them, so they wouldn't feel the shame of being useless" the leader said nodding to my father.

He then patted Tuk on the shoulder " Now what do we say". There were heard faint 'thank yous' among the family. I on the other hand didn't say anything.

"My daughter Tsireya and son Aonung will show you around" Tonowari spoke once again before disappearing. "But dad..." Aonung tried but it was useless.

'Sucks to be you' I mouthed to him.

"Come I'll show you our village" Tsireya spoke as he helped us to carry things. We were walking along the path or whatever they call it.

Well Tuk was just jumping on it. "This is for you" Tsireya spoke putting the things down. I went to a corner and put my things down as well. I helped others too.

"Alright family meeting" Dad said gesturing us to sit down. " I need you to be on your best behaviour. I mean it," He said looking at all of us, "pull your strength and learn fast.". "I want to go home" Tuk said while sad. "Oh, Tuk" mom said as I pulled her into a hug. "This is our home now" Dad added.

"Now what does your father always says?" Mom asked. We mumbled 'Sully's stick together'. "That's right now say it with feeling". We all said it but not in perfect union.
